Also, college guys who ask me if I am in college to get my MRS Degree. It makes me want to kick them in the balls.
I suppose you are majoring in a soft science, then, Ms historybuff? I actually think females outnumber males in college at this point. So, you would think that stuff might die out. Unless you are getting a soft science degree.... at least without a plan on how to use it after graduation.

OT: Saying "hills" when they mean "heels," "mills" when meaning "meals," and other things like that.

And "ain't" gets used very badly. Usually ending in a double negative - " I ain't never jumping off no cliff".
Excellent - get on with it then.
Isn't that a triple negative?

Just the upward inflection people use (stereotypically American girls) at the end of stentences which make everything sound like questions. Also, the excessive use of the term "oh my god!", which also stems from the same stereotypical American girls but is far more often used by English girls who affect the yankee stereotype.

I hate it when people actually say "Meh" or "LOL" in conversation! Its a conversation people, we are developed human beings, use the language provided its much easier just to laugh than say a stupid little internet abbreviations!

Actually, I'm majoring in History and I'm taking the Foreign Service Officer Test at the end of February to work for the State Department.

And it shouldn't matter what I'm majoring in. For a male to assume that I have no other purpose in college other than to find a husband is blatantly sexist. He's making an ignorant assumption based entirely on my gender.

And yes, life isn't fair--but this thread is about annoying things people say.

'Like, I totally loved that MCR DVD, ohmygod.'

You're Irish! Stop talking like a spoiled Californian! Jesus christ.

Not being misogynist, but I've no idea why they all talk like that.
Hey! That's South California dammit, us Northerners are much better than that!

I can't stand ghetto slang, mispronounced words, and when people who say "lol, fail, pwned, facepalm, etc..." in actual conversations.

I know this one person who said decriminate instead of incriminate. I wanted to punch the stupid out of her but I didn't. Also, I've heard my mom say "pwned" and "fail" out loud. She's not even a gamer. As long as she doesn't randomly shout "leeroy jenkins!!" I think I'll be fine. I don't think my brain could handle that if she did.

"I'm not trying to sound sexist, but..."
"I don't know much about politics, but..."
"I've never seen (Tvshow/movie), but in my opinion..."
"Hey, I have to correct you on your grammar, but it's 'An History', not 'A History'"
"Excuse me, but 'He' has a name!"
"Hey, I don't know you people and I've never seen you before, but I love Twilight and we should talk about it!"
"Want to hear the good news about Jesus?"

I have a lot of things that annoy me that people do when speaking Irish but you wouldn't get it so I won't bore you with it.

When people are speaking English however;

1). It annoys me when people put "...I think" at the end of a sentence just to cover their asses in case you realise they are full of sh... well you know.
E.g: "Oh ye I when we were drunk at that party I totally slept with her... I think" No you didn't! You full of it and I can tell because yo added 'I think'!

2). People 'and' too many times in a sentence, most commonly done by children (which I don't mind so much) but when older people do it it irritates me.
E.g: "I got up and went out and went to his house and we watched a movie and ..." etc, I just sounds idiotic!

3). People who curse when they shouldn't and then don't curse when it would be suitable... it just doesn't make sense; You curse several times when telling me about how cute this kitten you saw was but then don't curse at all when telling me about the guy who cheated on you... I mean What the f...

I hate the way people think it's 'cool' to purposefully spell things wrong/Use made up abbreviations...

E.G; Liek, Whut, Ghey... Etc...

If I keep listing them my brain cells will melt.

Arrrggghhh! This really, really annoys me. 'He' is a perfectly acceptable part of the English language, why do people try eliminating it from all use? When its has already been indicated who you are talking about it is fine and correct to just say'He/She' instead of saying their name again.
So yeah I agree with you quite strongly on choosing that one... The twilight one too... In fact all your choices were quite accurate.
