I have to agree with everything said so far. I won't go on with my own two cents on what has been already said quite well.

I find it strange that XBL or PSN do not attempt to stop minors from MPing games they shouldn't own in the first place. The whole ERSB rating system is such a letdown in the first place as parents and game vendors don't give a flying fig who they sell a game to, as long as they sell a game. Since you have to register a profile for consoles, I would rather see the servers prohibit young kids from playing these games online. Obviously, this will never happen. But what can you do? Private matches seem like the answer to stay away from undesirables, but where does that leave you?

And can we stop saying "epic" and "uber" already? I cringe whenever I hear either of those words... not as bad as when I still hear someone say "bling" but it is still on about the same level. the leetspeak and dyslexic user names are like vanity license plates... nobody can understand them, and only make the owner laugh. Who is intimidated by some goober who calls himself fearthepinkmist? I'm supposed to be afraid of brain matter splatter? If you are that cocky about your ability, people usually seek you out first in a game to test your mettle. All you are doing is advertising to have someone shoot you first. Damn kids anyway... those are probably the same kids who get pissed off the second someone kills them and disconnects from a match. I'd love to see a lock on MP games to keep people from disconnecting unless their physical connection is terminated. If you can't take playing a game against someone better than you, then stop playing the game. Don't be a wimp and run away because you aren't as good as you think you are.

Mainly people who have can't spell or punctuate or use leet speak as a primary language (EXAMPLE:H3y 9uy$ wat$ up?) which led me to become some people would call a grammar nazi. people who swear like it's on the word of the day list. 9 year olds and below,(i don't mind children as long as they can spell, punctuate and are polite)and finally racist's.

Once when I was playing Halo 3 Big Team Slayer with my girlfriend (romance in the air), who comes along but a 13-year old asking for fucking pics.
Jesus Christ. He'd been harassing her the whole match, either acting like he didn't hear us telling him to get lost millions of times or being too stupid to realise, but this was the zarking capstone. The endgame, my friends. My vision filled with red. Then it's a little blurry, but I've garnered that I teamkilled him loads and I was auto kicked, but not before using insults on him he actually didn't understand. They weren't extremely intricate sexual jabs either, but plain old insults. Mature ones that gentlemen use when they're afraid of losing control.

I'm also annoyed, after recently switching to PS3 online and using my 360 strictly offline, at the PSN community. On Live you're constantly badgered by pre-pubescent swearing machines, that's true, but on PSN you're constantly ordered around by armchair strategists who, even though they're playing Killzone 2 or Bad Company 2, will constantly shout complex bullshit-grade military stratagems at you at the top of their lungs. In MAG, OK, I can accept the odd casual direction from my squad leader, but not when everybody in my squad is an insane conspiracy theorist who's been reading tactical guides upside down.

Also, grocer's apostrophe.
Just saying. It's kind of a pet hate.
