Maintaining your needs in Sims. Seriously, do you really need to talk to people for 3 hours everyday?

Walking over shin high rocks as a Kung Fu Master is very hard in games. Also doing what you want in a space that is full of people and objects.

I.E. "Oh look! A secret, I'll just walk over and get the secret."

"HELLO!"

"What? I don't want to talk to you... Let' get this secret."

"HELLO!"

"SCREW YOU! I want the damn secret."

*Picks up Ammo*

"FFFFFFFFFFFFFF-"

getting away with murder IE GTA
So it's easier to get away with murder in real life?
depends where you are .. fly to certain parts of africa, thailand or korea ... and yeah if you end up offing a guy (granted it doesn't leave you mentally traumatised or someone gets you first) ... getting away with it is a joke

I find killing people a trifle in games, it's much easier in real life, though I wouldn't know anything about that...*Cough*. But seriously though that would have to be firing a gun. In video game land it seems anyone can just easily pick up a big old rifle and casually run around iwth it scoring headshots on everyone you meet. I know this guy who owns these two beautiful rifles, one of which he has owned and been shotting with since he was like 13 years old. And I remember he once showed me a FRAMED thing of the central target piece from the most accurate shot he ever got with his rifles (And these are 22-caliber jobs) and it wasn't bullseye but it was pretty close. So explain to me how even though a guy who's had a lifetimes experience with rifles (He's around 60 now) is best able to score a shot like the one I mentioned with a low-calibre (Caliber?) rifle, whereas a twenty-something nuclear physicist named Gordon who I doubt has ever had much firearms experience is able to just pick up any gun he comes across and be able to run along accurately shooting combine in their foreheads. And I know those propagandaish games like first to fight and Arma have realistic gunplay but admittedly those games are rare, obscure and for most not very fun.

Murder is actually pretty easy in real life, as people are pretty damn easy to fool.
Games, by comparison, make it pretty damn hard.

I jest, of course.

But games sometimes are needlessly hard.

Wait. People play games to experience stuff that's HARD to do? Is that enjoyable? I'm not talking about playing on easy, but this seems a little silly. Games are an escape from reality.
Yes,people play games for escapism. But there's some stuff that's easier IRL - for example, destroying a locked wooden door.
That's easier IRL? How so?
In some games you can be a master of the arcane, a dual-pistol wielding gun-fu master, AND have an axe but wooden doors that are locked are impervious to you. IRL, they will break down eventually. Or you could remove the hinges. Have you EVER seen a video game that allowed that trick? :D
