Suppression namely due to the fabled Political Correctness, that you can't comment on certain subjects because it's not right for some arbitrary reason. There were days when you could say what you wanted and damn the consequences, and then get thrown in prison or mental institutions.
For a country that values free speech as one of our most vital rights, we certainly go very far out of our way to restrict and monitor our speech and expression of our opinions.
Another thing is people who support Identity Cards and CCTV cameras with the immortal lines if you're doing nothing wrong nothing will happen to you. What, Damn, Silliness. Or just plain ignorance whichever you prefer. If you've got nothing to hide you're always alight. These are the people who will destroy Britain's privacy irreparably.
Humans are behind these things and humans make error. For example a brother and sister hugging might seem like the hug of two lovers to someone without prior knowledge. Also the number of mistakes with DNA testing are astonishing, I don't think it should be abolished but the way it's dealt with is ridiculous.
Also people who talk about law, especially within school, through sheer ignorance and stupidity. Using it as a defence for their ridiculous acts.
Finally people who grossly underestimate their skill, for example saying they are appalling at art and then produce something equivalent to the Mona Lisa.
