Since I've been ninja'd on both females and magnets, I'll go with Country music. It doesn't work.

I'm confused why so many people, even people who LIVE here, think we are a democracy. Why do we bill ourselves as such?

I'm confused about why people like asparagus. It tastes like old celery fried in urine.

Don't know about that, I reckon boys are very confusing too.
Seems simple to me. In my experience of the world, chaps will say whether they're angry, happy, or sad...

I don't understand people's obsession with Nirvana. Yes, they made good music, but that was about it, nothing all that great. Did they revolutionize music? Hell no, they weren't even close to the best grunge band. I didn't understand their success when they were hugely popular in the early 90s and I certainly don't understand them now.
I think it's because they were Kurt Cobain was iconic. Plus his suicide really cemented that. The guy was clearly screwed and people always warm to people who are blatantly fucked (watch The X Factor and the like. If there's a depressing story before, they're showing a talented one).

I'm confused as to why tracksuits are considered stylish by some people. I mean, I can see why scene kids like what they wear (not that I like that myself), but tracksuits? Really?

What I'll never understand is why so many people waste so much energy hating Twilight. Just ignore it for fuck sakes.
In fact, I'll just say Hatedom [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Hatedom] in general. I'll never understand that as long as I live. Sure there are things that I dislike, despise even, but not to the point of obsession.

Well, fair enough. I just don't understand how 'we're friends' turns into 'how about we sleep together?'

My Girlfriend.

I never before realised that apologising was now a bad thing that made your girlfriend hate you.
Who knew eh?

Well, 'friend' mostly means somebody we like.
Which is why some men have trouble understanding "love you as a friend"
You mean you don't like whoever you sleep with? What?

Nope, it's a republic all the way, anyone who tries to tell you different is either patriotic to the extent of fanboyism, ignorant, or just plain stupid.

No, I mean, well, when a guy says to me that we're friends, I assume we're friends. As in, platonic friends. It's kind of confusing when later on they let you know that they liked you all along, and didn't really consider you a friend in the first place.

Hmmm...what do you mean by 'friend' when you say he didn't consider you one?

Surprise, surprise, guys want sex. Also, some guys might think that just cuz you two have fun together, share interests, etc., that you would work as a couple. Me, my problem is that I'd become friends with a girl and, after getting to know her, realize that I like her, so I then have to climb back up from that "just friends" status if I want to act on those feelings.

I meant that he led me to believe that we were just platonic friends, as I said, but now I just feel as if everything we did together as friends didn't mean anything because he only did it to get with me. Which is a little disappointing. You think that someone just enjoys the pleasure of your company, but it turns out that they want something else from you.

Well that's the thing; it'd be a lot simpler if they made it clear that they just wanted sex, rather than pretending they didn't like you. Seriously, we're confusing? Double standards much? And I guess in your case, it'd be understandable if the girl interpreted that in the way I am now. It'd be so nice if we could all just say things directly without fear of embarrassing ourselves.

And we should probably stop derailing this thread. Poor thread.
