I grew up with video games, and they have instilled in me an intense phobia of any natural body of water, the deeper it is the worse my fear becomes. even games like Oblivion can terrify me when it comes to the water.

Water levels.

I'm always scared that my character might drown.

The old Sonic games were the worse with that music. [sub] Oh, God its in my head again....*screams*[/sub]

Bathrooms, Hospitals, and Mirrors. And bathrooms with mirrors in hospitals? Yeah, there is no hope for you in that situation. It's all due to association with games played in the past that affect unrelated ones.

The Re-Dead in Zelda, the Malboro in Final Fantasy 8 because it just hands your ass to you and for some reason my powers of running away suck. Oh, and the headcrabs from Half-Life. *shudder*

Sometimes falling from a large height in a game gives me that horrible sinking feeling in my stomach. It's hard to describe, i get the same feeling when i'm falling in a dream if any of you know that feeling.

It's a pretty scary feeling even thought it's only on a screen :p

Hmmm... I honestly can't think of any times I was creeped out by a game when I shouldn't have been. In fact, I usually have the opposite problem, where a game SHOULD creep me out but can't, and just seems boring otherwise.

It takes a master-crafted game to get to me, but it's always very gratifying when it happens, such as in Condemned or Silent Hill. Any game that can make me feel tension despite sitting on my couch, in my house, with a hunk of plastic in my hands, can claim to be a very well-made game.

If face huggers werent meant to be too scary in AVP 1 but I think they are. Little bastards creep me out. They are small, fast and one hit kill you, keeps me from finishing the Marine campaign. And the scuttling. OH GOD THE SCUTTLING

Just yesterday, actually, i was playing fallout 3, wearing the Chinese stealth armor in the train tunnel to Adams AFB, on of the goddam sentry bots rolls by, then turns around and starts spraying me with the laser machine gun.
This is with me at 100 sneak , with the 40% stealth field generated by the armor, and the 15 bonus to sneak, in a dark room.
It wasnt really scary, in the sense that you gonna have nightmares, but it startled me because i thought it was impossible for the bot to know i was there, let alone damn near kill my ass.
