The insertion of politics into like every TV show nowadays. I don't want to hear some stupid hack writers' opinions on gun control or abortion shoehorned into a crime drama.
Well, in fairness, a crime drama is probably a good place to discuss gun control, what with people getting shot with alarming frequency...
No.
No what? No, guns aren't used in many crimes? No, it makes no sense for police (or whoever the heroes of your chosen crime drama are) to have opinions on the law? No, people who deal with guns and gun crime on a regular basis would never advocate tighter control over who has access to firearms?

If Elmo gives a lecture on gun control, that's out of place. If cops in a crime drama talk about it, that makes perfect sense.
No, it isn't appropriate to discuss gun control during crime dramas because gun control has nothing to do with crime. Gun control is meant to protect the government from its own citizens, not the citizens against criminals.

The next Bourne film will ruin the trilogy.
I actually thought the last two Bourne films ruined the first Bourne film, which ruined the books, the latter several of which ruined the original book.

On another note, why do people claim that later instalments in a series ruin the earlier ones? Nothing has been changed in the earlier instalments so why do they suddenly become 'RUINED FOREVER'?

It didn't really ruin it for me, but when I watched Heroes season 1 this fall, yeah I hadn't seen it before that, the ending kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

So the bad guy, Sylar, reacts to the guy shooting at him, stops the bullets and sends them back. Then a minute later the blond chick comes swinging at him with that fuckin' iron pole, which he just takes in the gut. Then Hiro shows up and stabs him, and from the look of it he doesn't stop time either. It's just retarded to me that he could stop the bullets and then not react to things far slower.

I was quite enjoying Death Note, then they killed off the best character...and the only likeable character in the series considering they made the protaganist out to be a bit of a douche.
This. He was my favorite character! And the replacements suck.

You would say that... you're working for MEDUSA, aren't you?

(Oh that's right there's no MEDUSA in those crappy movies)
Well played. Very well played.

The Star Wars Prequel Trilogy.
Complete and utter rubbish. Not enough people that work with George Lucas challenge him and tell him "No, that's stupid." I'm not even going to fault the actors no matter how horrible they may be... that was an agonizing script for anyone to work with.

Also Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.
There's a special place in Hell for Joel Schumacher after making those... things. He'll probably be sitting next to the guy that wrote Manos the Hands of Fate. Actually, I'm sorry, that's an insult to Manos.

Season 7 of the X Files. It's just so bad. I never watched it as a youngling, so my girlfriend (a former uber-fan who gave up around season 6) bought me the entire series on DVD last Christmas. I resolved to be a better fan than her, and to power on through bad episodes, but S7 just keeps hitting you with shitty acting, shitty plots, and general stupid shittiness. I keep telling myself that one day I'll go back and finish the series, but I really cannot force myself to sit through it anymore.
But... but... it's got some of the best episodes in the series! "X-Cops"! "Hollywood A.D."! "Millennium"! "The Goldberg Variation"! "Je Souhaite"!

And "Closure" is one of the most beautiful episodes of any TV show, ever!

Han shot first!
Damn straight he did.

I hated that Lucas changed that, it pretty much invalidates Han's development from a selfish smuggler to a hero.
Oh! What about, (In overly weepy voice) "What have I DONE?!"
(In dark evil voice) "You are fulfilling your destiny."
"Oh, well I guess it's all right then. I'm off to kill everyone I've ever known and slaughter little five year olds while I'm at it."
I can take a lot of stuff in Star Wars, but that part murdered Darth Vader/Anakin Solo's entire character development.
Honorable mention: "NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

Can we just all agree that the Prequels don't exist? Please? It'll be an ever so fun delusion, I promise!

I love the Alien and Predator movies. Bad move however to kill off Newt and Hicks at the start of Alien 3, but that wasn't as bad as making Alien Resurrection a rubbish comedy. Then came Alien vs Predator, we just came off 6 of the bloodist movies ever, and we get a PG-13 crossover with only one good character (Bishop) and little action. Not as bad as AVPR which starred the cast of Dawson's Creek and was completely shot in the dark. Predators was pretty good however, but after 4 Alien movies, 3 Predator movies and 2 crap crossover movies, do we need to see another Alien or Predator film? I don't think so.

X-Play: It was good until they removed most of the sketches and the humor/entertainment that made the show fun, and turned it into CNN for nerds and just as boring.

Sonic: As I said before, I've grown a bit disinterest in Sonic over the years and well, not really my favorite series, but I liked it back in the Genesis and Dreamcast days. There are many things that ruined the franchise to list off. What made me leave had to be the inclusion of many unnecessary/bad chars, Sonic Team's incompetence, gimmicky and poorly executed game play, and poor char development. Also, Sonic X, a terrible anime series with a horrible human tag-a-long protagonist called Chris, who I hate so much!
