What is it in your life you find to be exceptionally frightening? Things that make you unconsciously obsess with them?

I found this video [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVgz2CLIaok] of someone recording a PlayStation that actually plays back an error sound (happens if it can't read the disc after a minute or two of being stuck at the Sony/PS logo). The distinct difference between the synthesized sounds spook me still to this day. The Resident Evil 2 poster in the end was 'shopped into the video and due to its horror-nature may be NSFW.

I remember that. As a kid, everytime I started up a game, I either turn the volume down or run out of the room when the startup comes on.

On a related note, sirens like the one in the Silent Hill games freak me out. There was one of these things mounted on the roof of my elementary school and it went off quite often. Something about the sound just terrified me as a kid, and that trauma hasn't left me... I have the blaring siren on my cellphone, set as my alarm ringtone - believe me, I never miss an exam or morning lecture.

I hate spiders so much with their creepy legs and such, but worse is daddy-long-legs. I go to roleplay club once a week and the lighting covers are filled with dead moths and daddy-long-legs. One guy knocked one of these covers off, right above me. I took one look at the stuff falling on me and ran out the door screaming, stripping my coat as I went.

It was a little funny how the guys (I'm the only girl) reacted to my,... you know, fears and emotions. They got confused as hell.

Also people clipping their nails. I effing hate that so much!
