Duke Nukem Forever. EVERY trailer promised a better game, with more elements, than that threadbare, cliched shlock-fest we got.

I suppose I'd have to say losing my virginity Spore.

That game should have been so much more than it was.

Honourable mentions go to law school and the original Final Fantasy XIV. I hear the reboot is actually rather good. Of Final Fantasy XIV, that is.

As some of the posters above and MovieBob already said, Man of Steel. Frankly before going to the theater and watching it I already conditioned myself to have my expectations to be as low as possible because there's no way Nolan, Goyer and Snyder can give the Superman movie that everybody will like. And after watching MoS I'm still disappointed with the final product (how's that even possible?) although the final battle is good visually but get's old very fast, here's hoping that Superman vs. Batman(Is that what they are still calling it?) be a better movie.

Although since the creative team is still the same, it seems I still have to further lower my already low expectations.

Lucky Star was unwatchable and in the back of my mind I think that people who said they liked it were trolling.
Do you, like, actually know anyone who likes Lucky Star? It seems like a show that lots of people complain about how many people like it and how it Ruined Anime FOREVER, but no one actually talks about it. Now, mind you, I do like it, it was the first anime comedy I ever liked, but I'm not trumpeting its genius from the hills.

Now as for an anime that definitely is overhyped: Ghost in the Shell, and related properties. That movie is one of the rare times I actually used the most foul word in the English language - pretentious - to describe it. The TV series was I guess like a boring detective series about a government organization with no oversight that can and does do whatever it wants and I guess I'm supposed to root for them or something, but at least the main character was wearing a bathing suit in Stand Alone Complex, as opposed to the body paint she wears in the movie.

No. I never said it ruined anime forever. And if that is the best comedy you've ever seen than damn you need to watch some freaking comedies.

Behind K-On!, Lucky Star is the anime most accused of quote ruining anime forever unquote, that's all I was saying. And people say this in part because they seem to think there's some massive cresting wave of people who have devoted their lives to worshiping Lucky Star.

I never said it's the best comedy I've ever seen, I said it was the first anime comedy I ever liked.

My favorite comedy anime I've seen would probably be Carnival Phantasm. As for non-anime comedies, I haven't seen too many, but, uh...probably High Fidelity.

Most new interesting things on fast food menus. Mighty Wings, Mc-rib, Burger King's "Chip Sandwich",all the different Taco Bell shit, I could go on and on.
Although the Cod Basket from LJS and Chicken Ranch Wrap from Mcdonalds is good....and the Boston Coolers from Halo Burger.

Pacific Rim
Expected both decent writing and awesome robot fighting action.
Was disappointed with both.

Food wise:
Shamrock Shakes - It's just a minty vanilla milkshake dyed green.
Sushi (I'm a bit reluctant to put that here since I just never developed a taste for fish, but it just looks so good)

Movie wise:
The World's End - It just bored me, and I couldn't be bothered to care about the characters. Also, Pegg's character reveal towards the end was very clearly shown in the opening of the movie.
ParaNorman - MovieBob hyped the shit out of this one. It just bored me to tears.
Seven Psychopaths - All the ads displayed this as a comedy, and it looked very entertaining, but aside from maybe one scene, this movie wasn't funny, and was instead very violent.

Show wise:
Fullmetal Alchemist - EVERYONE hyped the shit out of this, and I only found it OK at best.
Castle - Ok, so I loved the first two seasons, but after that it was just bllluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh.
Futurama - This only applies to the show's revival on Comedy Central, which by and large weren't funny. Can't really say anything about the straight to DVD specials as I only saw one, and can't remember it that well.

Book wise:
Ender's Game - Bored the shit out of me, couldn't stand any of the characters, and a lot of their reasoning was asstarted.
Twilight - My English teacher was so adamant with how great it was, so I gave it a go. Still don't get why it's such a huge it.
Heat Wave - I expected a lot from this because the show it comes from was great, and in the show they were showing just how huge and successful it was. In reality, it was short, boring, and might as well had the main characters be named Mick Mastle and Make Meckket.

I really didn't like the Assassin's Creed series.

I'm sorry, I misread.
