It's the opposite that I find more often. Stuff that looks shit but tastes amazing.

Mangoes are good, in my opinion. If you do get a mango and it's as hard as a rock, wait a few days to a week in order for the skin and the innards to soften up. The only nasty part is the seed, which looks like a hairy clam.

Sushi. Bearing in mind that I haven't eaten a lot of sushi in my life and the sushi I did eat was probably the cheap, nast kind. It looks amazing. Very delicate and you think a lot of effort must have went into making it. When I tasted it, thinking it would be as good as it looks it was just really cold fish with rice. I was expecting with all of the colors that there would be different tastes but they all tasted of the same cold fish. It wasn't very nice.

Those little kid chapsticks that are like "Dr. Pepper" flavor, or something else that's a fruity flavor. I'd expect it to taste a little like what the flavor is, seeing that you put it on your lips, but they don't. At least, they didn't when I was little. Also, those L'Oreal Kids shampoos that smelt heavenly.

When I went to Athens I was determined to try octopus. It looked odd eating a tentacle but was actually really nice

I'm a fan of squid, so i'd love to try octopus. Not many places you can get ahold of it in the UK though, or that i know of anyway!

You can get octopus in some of the more expencive sushi restaurants.
