Watching my kids milestones. Hes four now but watching him develop from a little thing to this big kid has made me smile. It also helps that he acts like a little clown at times and loves to show off for a laugh

Things that make me smile...random acts of kindness.

I was picking up a prescription once and on my way out I saw a guy digging through the trash can across the street. A mother and her child were coming out of the store and saw him and immediately walked over to him. She pulled out some money and gave it to him. I have never seen a person so happy. He smiled and thanked her profusely and walked away. Something so small as giving someone a few dollars probably made his day (maybe even week). Later that week I remembered that exact moment when I was at the grocery store. An older woman was carrying groceries to her car. I asked her if she needed help and then helped her to her car. She tried to offer me money but I wouldn't take it. Hopefully my action sparked a feeling in someone else that did the same thing.
