Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, and Shia LeBeouf.

Think about it.
Agree with Shia LeBeouf. I'm not sure why he keeps getting cast in things, he has no charisma or appeal. Plus to me he will forever be "that kid from Even Stevens".
The other thing is 3D. It's gimmicky and seems to be becoming an excuse for poor film making. Also, as a glasses wearer, having to wear two pairs pisses me off.

The big one however is not employing the right actors for accents. This is one of the many reasons I refuse to acknowledge the latest 3 musketeers movie, where are the French accents???
This is the reason I hold up The Day After Tomorrow, because they got the right nationalities to play the right characters!
I don't get it. Doesn't the latest Three Musketeers movie, which I admit I haven't seen, take place in France, with French characters? How are they supposed to speak French with a French accent?

Any movie based on a book (except The Lord of the Rings). Except LotR I have never seen a good movie based on a book.
Then I have to ask you: Could you name a few movies you like?

Well they're supposed to be French people speaking in french to each other so, why would they have french accents?
No I mean the newest one with the flying ships and stuff. Most of the cast use generic British accents and the lead (the kid) has a very obvious and very out of place American accent. It's jarring as hell.
Oh, now I get what you mean. but I don't think that's such a problem; surely French people must have different accents now and then, dpending on what part of France they're from?

Edit: Just realized I triple-posted. Sorry ^^;

The protagonist being in a dangerous, life-threatening situation right at the beginning of a film. You're obviously going to survive, stop making it such a big deal!
Same as the protagonist being in a dangerous situation 50-100 pages into a book.

Are you familiar with a certain fan theory where Obi-Wan from movie 4-6 is actually OB-1, Ben Kenobi's clone from back in the clone wars? (Doesn't remember R2-D2 etc.)
Imagine if they had Ben kenobi's life threatend, and everyone thinks he'll survive because he's in the "Sequel", only to let him actully die, THAT would be a great twist.
Not to mention fill in all the plot holes of the prequels.
"When I met your father, he was a great pilot"
"I can't recall ever owning a droid"
"There you will meet Yoda. The Jedi Master who instructed me"
Yoda calls Anakin restless and impetuous "So was I if you remember"
Hmm,
1: Anakin Won the pod race. Who is a good pilot
2: Could have been hiding it from luke that he knew. If he knew the droids he might have to indulge other information
3: Yeah i got nothing on yoda

OT: To me its the making that bad guys seem overly evil to the point of just crazyness(given exceptions)
The best villains are the tragic ones or the ones who are the most human and thefore scary(they aren't monsters they are humans just like us)
Part 3 was explained in an Expanded Universe book I read.

Agent Sculleys [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AgentScully] and Straw Vulcans [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/StrawVulcan] (I'm looking at you Star Trek). Science, skepticism, and rationality are disabused in popular culture like a bad habit. Is there a ghost in the house? Of course there is, and any character suggesting that a few wibbly wobbly lights and unexplained sounds don't obviously imply that the consciousness of a dead person has manifested itself in a physical form just to issue vague warnings/threats and push the furniture around will be painted as stubborn and ridiculous. Will going Rambo on the terrorist stronghold work? Of course it will, and any character suggesting a more level headed and probable, though costly, course of action will be painted as cold, unfeeling, and uncreative. It's absolutely silly, and it makes my gf feel more secure when she bashes me for using "reasons" to decide things instead of blind intuition, so I really wish it would stop already.

Comically predictable plot lines and such. This is a broader category of things like the protagonist next to dying at the beginning of something. NONE OF YOU FILMMAKERS ARE GEORGE MARTIN! Found footage movies are a bit aggravating, even though I'm drooling over Chronicle.

Because college kids acting like dicks while using superpowers is hilarious. The actual plot seems pretty good, save the scene where they get their powers, because from the trailers that seems to be the one scene where the camera is from Cloverfield.

I like what hotsauce said in that antagonists that are JUST evil, with no humanity. They're like Daleks, but less comedic.

How the concept of an "undead" or "zombie" does not exist at all in that film universe. For once I would love to see a zombie movie were most of the cast know they are dealing with zombies (aid for the head and shoot their bitten comrades without hesitation).
This, this a thousand times this. It actually makes me rage so much! The worst one for me was in Silent Hill when Cybil see's the armless man and she doesn't realise until its literally RIGHT IN HER FACE that it isn't human. I love that film but damn I can't help but rage at that part.

EDIT: I realise my example isn't a zombie, but its still clearly not human god damn it!
