The phones were not only connected by a cord but they had a dial to input the phone number with, not buttons.
Civilization... one
Thinking that 8-bit graphics were cool.
Certain famous stars were still alive during your childhood.
Remembering that we Canadians had One and Two dollar bills before they changed them to coins.
Knight Rider and other TV shows.
Play-do, the Slinky and other olden toys were new.
We didn't have spellchecker back then.
The movies Tron and The Last Starfighter were awesome movies with high tech CGI at the time.

Captha: Time circuits? Thank you for reminding me that Back to the Future was cool back then, also that time travel stories were just new.

I work at a second hand store and I found a game on a floppy disk.

I actually remember the 80's. ... Was that mean? I'm not sure. That's a thing, right?

... I remember Pong, or a rip-off of it. I don't remember what system we had, but I remember playing it now and again. And playing Duck Hunt for hours on end because Mario was too hard. And sitting on the floor watching my mom play through the first Final Fantasy and Zelda.

And that one day we came home from school at about 9 years old and my mom held up the game box for FF6 (3 in North America), and my sister and I were jumping up and down and squealing. ... I believe that was the day my father became a childless widow. I could recite that entire game, still.
