Are there moments in a game where you were ticked off by something? For example, In Devil May Cry 3 you see Dante take a sword at the end, although you can't use in during combat... that's just lazy. Or in Fallout 3 were I found out that the recycled a few voice actors, that's right I found the same guy doing four different people, it's a conspiracy I tell you! Got a little off track there, so what things ticked you off?

Oh, oh, That planet in KOTOR where you were supposed to be undercover as an evil jedi even if you were good but their definition of "undercover" was going in there preaching morality to everyone as though that wouldn't tip someone off and if you didn't do it then you gained evil points.

The original Legend of Zelda. I'd played all the other games prior to attempting the original, and the fact that you could only stab the sword directly in front of you shat me to no end.

Two things that come to mind with one of my all time favourite games. In Mass Effect the planets have ZIP ZERO NADA NOTHING on them. Just a bunch of mountains and hills that only kinda show off the physics engine and the Mako vehicle. My other beef with Mass Effect are some of the chat choices. I swear for 30-40% of the chat options at least 2 of them give the exact same response. Other than that the game is brilliant and sucks you in quite well.
I recently just finished playing Mass Effect for the second time. I hadn't played it in about seven months and when I stared he new character a week and a half ago, I wondered to myself, "Why did I stop playing this awesome game?" Then I land on a planet and realize I have to drive that piece of shit Mako. And now I remember why I stopped playing it, but those two problems mentioned in the quote are the main problems with Mass Effect. I also hated it when I would reach a probe somewhere on top of a God forsaken hill, that took me twenty minutes to get up just to find out that my Electronics skill is too low. At that point, I put down the controller and walk away.

Escort missions
"Alpha 1, we want you to escort these slow arsed freighters to the jump point about 20 minutes away. By the way we've got intel there may be enemy patrols in the area."
And by enemy patrols, they mean a good 10% of the entire enemy fleet.

Then again those sorts of escort missions aren't too terrible. It's the ones where you have to escort someone who's AI is so stupid that you can't for the love of GOD figure out WHY he's important enough to keep alive in the first place. I just want you to open the door buddy, not run headlong into the enemy.

What I really hate is just about any game where the 'friendly' NPCs/AI could easily be replaced with a 5 year old with a controller, and perform better. Or at least follow orders, hello Jericho.

Escort missions closely followed by anything with a timer. :p

Timed escort missions of course being "The devil" of gaming to me. >:)

Oh and that bloody sequence in Morrowwind where you get infected by that plague and had to go find the last Dwarf to get cured. Not really "hard" but I found it to be an annoyance.

Also you are incorrect if you think there is nothing on those planets in Mass Effect. While repetitive the idea is that if you explore them you will find tons of minerals, and relics. There are quests for both, and more of all things than you require. You can make scads of money by obtaining extra stuff after meeting the quest requirements.

There are also probes and stuff crashed that you can salvage gear from with enough skill.

The Worms out there are also worth decent amounts of exps, and are fairly easy to kill once you get the range down and start laying down a jump over projectile-fire cannon pattern. So in driving around, finding where a Worm is, is like finding an exps boost.

You know how everyone knew the Titantic was going to sink before they saw the movie (not the actual ship, just the movie)? Well when replaying games, there are several parts I dread, but have to get done. I know in Kotor that I have to go to Saul's ship and find out I'm Revan, dispite the fact that it's painfully obvious. I have to do the prison level in Fable. Before buying Fable 2, I knew I had to get shot out of a window. It's like watching the captain of the Titantic make stupid decisions that get everyone killed. "I'm telling you, I'm Revan!" "I'm not going in that prison. I don't want to do a long boring quest that involves skipping a year for my life." "No sister, lets not let the guards take us to Lucien. He's going to kill us!"

It also ticked me off when in GTA4, even if you "win", you lose. Looking back on that game, it's friggin depressing. I've got to get Saint's Row 2 already.

I swear my electronics skill was never high enough to please those damn probes but that was never enough for me to walk away from it. Sure there was a bit of teeth grinding but then i'd just save what i was doing and boot up an old saved game file where the alliance comes in to kick ass and save the day. God that was an incredible cinematic...
It wasn't just the skill not being high enough that made me walk away, it was that and the pain in the ass trip to get up to the item. And yes that last cinematic was amazing, I never get tired of seeing all those ships explode and break apart. Or seeing the Alliance fly in and take down Sovereign, very satisfying.

It was satisfying when you conquered those 80 degree slopes at least... I usually solved my electronics skill problem by using the Quarrian and ... brain fart, the human biotic, when I was out exploring random planets.

God yes is that cutscene amazing, partly because of how much crap the other races give humans before it. They never realized that the "Human Spirit" buff gives them +50 to Awesome in fleet engagements, and robots/synths have a weakness to them. (Or at least to small particles of mass fired at high velocity fired by humans.)

Playing Halo 2 on PC and wonder what everyone found so awesome about it. Run and shoot.

Playing several lots of Street Fighter games on the PS2 only to find out that they are just average at best unlike Guilty Gear XX which is awesome.

There was this point in Gears 1 where it was during that Kryll encounter... and it was right after a nasty gunfight through a graveyard that eventually leads to a main road just before the spotlight segment. Every single time I passed that point point Dom would jump into the darkness and die, sending me back to the last checkpoint.
Over, and over, and over again. I was losing my MIND. Why should I be punished for what was NOT my fault? Stop killing yourself Dom.

Bethesda's habit of killing off good voice actors and recycling the crap ones hundreds of times over. That being said, they've improved slightly in Fallout 3, just not enough.
