I'll agree with the sleep one (mostly because I don't get enough). how about relieving oneself (taking a dump), meaning we could eat as much as we want and never gain weight, remove sleep and relieving yourself and we would have so much more time. but keep food becuae it's YUmmy. If you remove sleep you would never be tired, perhaps maybe not completely remove it but make it so we only require like an hour sleep rather than 6-8hours

QP is good at describing what happens on the tiniest of scales, but when the distances become a bit large, it starts unraveling and renormalization is needed. QP is still being developed, and is by far a complete theory, but it works pretty well, and can describe many of the strange effects we observe in particle interactions. It is a rather interesting subject to be honest.

It doesn't solve the "I'd quite like to get published for my work in quantum computing" problem.

The entire world would have actually been better off if the Canadian residential schools had never existed. Not only did those things create an entire generation of people who had their cultural knowledge beaten and abused out of them, but it also created a generation of people who had no idea how to function outside of the reserves. In short, by the time they got out of the residential schools, they couldn't function within the reserves (due to having their culture, beliefs, and cultural history forcibly removed from their field of learning) and they couldn't function outside them. This led to residential school "graduates" having virtually nothing in the way of honest opportunity, causing many to turn to crime, drugs, and alcohol.

The residential schools were actually so effective, that Nazi Germany used them and the methods used in them as a base model for their concentration camps, effectively making the residential schools one of the most evil things that have ever been created.

Death. Obvious first answer, we humans disappear from this planet, simply ceasing to exist, after a pitiful hundred years if we're lucky. It's horrifying how many people tend to disagree with this, there's nothing good about it that even remotely compares with the obvious bad.

As for less important, less serious things... well, I'll second the need for sleep one, but I'll modify it to just "the need for non-REM sleep" - result is, people only need to sleep two hours a day, and that entire two hours is actual conscious dream-time, and because it'd be a continuous dream and you'd always be waking up from a dream rather than from unconscious sleep, you'd remember vastly more of many more dreams than currently.

There are issues with those choices... First off, if no one died then the Earth would become massively overpopulated and wouldn't be able to sustain us. Mixed with the fact that if nothing would ever die we could never eat, all plants and animals need to die for us to eat it (barring relatively small animals like insects)

And as for sleep, we need 5-6 hours as a minimum to not suffer any dysfunction or debilitation in our lives. And the only reason REM sleep exists is because we cant stay permanently in stage 3 or 4 sleep, those are the important parts of sleep.
