Nope, I totally agree with this. Nothing to be ashamed of. Some people have absolutely no manners. How do they ever expect for people to be comfortable with them in a business setting when they're breathing heavily, or making smacking, sloshy sounds in their mouth?

I hate people touching my more expensive things without express permission. I don't have money, I can't replace something easily, so I need to rigorously care for everything I have. If I spend more than 20 dollars on it, it is precious. So sometimes I've reacted pretty dickishly to people. Like asking people to wash their hands before they play my Xbox. Or slamming my laptop screen in someone's face because they used it without asking me.

Actually don't feel like a jerk about the laptop. I was so mad, I had been prepared to utterly savage the person. The only thing that really stopped me is that she was too shocked to retaliate.

I hate Gandhi, this gets me a lot of flack from people.
I hate Ghandi too. As a child, I was horrified to learn that because of his ideals, plenty of people were massacred like lambs to the slaughter.

I think the ideals are nice, but in practice they're sickening.

The news has this habit of reporting on at least one sob story (tho it's often more than one) every night and I feel like an ass for saying so but it?s annoying and stupid. "Girl with no arms or legs tandem skydives ". Not quite sure why it?s an amazing achievement but ok that?s great for her. Can we have some real news now? If there was nothing else to report on then I would not really care tho I have no intrest in hearing these stories but other issues take a back seat for this shit? Larger issues get completly ignored. Major law changes that will affect everyone? No that's not important. Lets show the one with the crippled kid finishing a race instead.

I guess I got semi-ninja'd by the OP. I feel like such a dick sometimes, like when my parents call me and they have tons of stuff to tell me from their vacation, and it just bores me to tears. I feel so guilty when that happens, and I wonder if they can tell that I don't find it enjoyable, and that makes me feel even worse.
Other than that, I don't feel guilty for not caring about a lot of things. I don't care about the stories of people I don't know (which is why I rarely / never read threads about people needing help with tough situations for example).

I absolutely hate when people tell me about their dreams. Even if it involves me, I'm just utterly bored about it. Even today when my girlfriend was telling me about her dream, I actually felt really bad that I almost just wanted to ask her to stop. :p

And on another note, people who go out of their way to be different. Dress, act, speak, differently. They just all end up in that counter-culture gelatinous mess that is about as popular as regular culture at this point. I mean, c'mon, be yourself, if that's cool, cool, if not, tough. "Popular People" going on about how lame "Those Creepy kids" are is just as annoying if you flip the names around.

hearing about people complain endlessly about their life in 1st world countries

i know i should be more sensitive but when someone is like omg i didn't get what i wanted fml fml fml i seriously want to punch them
To a degree I get this, my sister throws around self pity like it's going out of style. However my guilty dislike is quite the opposite; people who use phrases like 'There are people in the world that would kill for a meal like this' when you leave half a potatoe on your plate. I'm guilty of complaining of being 'starved', used only in a melodramatic sense, and I'm often met with responses along the lines of 'There are people in third world countries who are starving. You are just hungry'.

Also third world countries. I know I should care because they're human beings, but I really can't find the sympathy for a nation that holds back the rest of the world and is a hog on resources. There I said it, I feel bad now.

When someone wants my shoulder to cry on, I'm always weary of tears or snot getting on my clothes.

The sound of my mother's voice; it's a weird kind of whiney voice. Moving out helped a lot, but I still feel like the bag a douche came in for nearly popping a nerve every time she spoke to me.

Piercings on anywhere else but the ears. They just disgust me for some reason.

ESPECIALLY Nose and lip piercings. Those I can't stand.

Piercings of all kinds. They are one of the biggest turn offs to me, to a point where I can't date someone who wears em. I've always convinced gfs to not wear them aside from special occasions. I can't explain why they bug me so much, but even the traditional ear piercings is more unappealing to me as a massive hairy mole on the face.

Suddenly made me think of:

Sherlock: Shut up!
Lestrade: But I didn't say anything.
Sherlock: You were thinking, and it's annoying!

OT: Most of my 'hate' stuff is music based *pre-emptively dons flame-prood armour*

Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Metallica & Nirvana

OK, peeps, lemme have it.
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWR!!!!!!!!! Meh it's alright.

The only one I have trouble believing is the Beatles, mostly because their career is so varied and they music varied from album to album that I feel there is almost something for everyone there. Almost, so I guess I'll let you go. Floyd can be a head trip and isn't terribly lively, the Stones feel pretty same-y to me so I don't listen to them much anymore; Zep... a lot of it is similar and I could empathize with people who dislike Robert Plant's voice. Metallica... also sounds a lot the same. And I never really got into Nirvana myself either. I like maybe 3 of their songs.

I hate when people gloat over me (not that it happens often).

Also, I can't stand people who go on and on and on about crap I don't care about (I have a cousin who thinks everybody needs to know everything about "cunchy life" and how we city folk "don't know nothin about tractors.") Also, his horse attempted to murder him and he got hurt pretty badly and it has taken him years to recover, so used this opportunity to milk it all the way. "No, don't walk around the room like that, it makes me depressed."

I didn't feel bad for him.

I don't like spending time with people doing nothing. For example, after a meal when everyone sits there and talks for an hour its like seriously guys? Why can't we go back to someones house and just put some music on or put something on tv. I don't mind hanging out when doing things but just sitting there doing nothing really gets to me. It can lead to talking about stupid things.

I also hate when you are visibly upset or unwell and people say 'Are you alright?' or 'How are you feeling?' or 'How are you?' its like, come on now. Its pretty obvious if I'm in floods of tears I'm sad.

Im a jerk. I know it.

Oh and I also hate when people recommend me things like music or books. If I like that sort of thing chances I've already found it.
