Try to subtly finish your box of Pringles, Yes, loud and crunchy Pringles, in class and have the guy two seats in front of you get caught for eating while you are nomming away on Pringle without the teacher noticing. Best.Maths class.Ever.

Pay attention. You might learn something.
I admire your committment to knowledge. But depending on the class, what you're asking can be absolutely impossible.

Like for me. Now. In this sociology class.

Learn. That's why you're in class in the first place.
What if you're only in that class in the first place in order to get some pointless gen-ed credit and fulfill university rules that only encourage students to take easy, boring, huge-lecture-halls-where-you-can-waste-time-and-not-be-seen-doing-it classes?

just start drawing lines on a piece of paper, keep drawing until you get an idea of what to draw...

Or if you are on your laptop, play civ 5. That game is too awesome.

Learn, seriously, don't waste time in class. Knowledge is power!
Not if it's a summary of the past 5 weeks.
Wich is passed a test for
With grammar like that, I'm sure you'll do fine.
My grammar nothing wrong with
That was hilarious, regardless of whether it was intentional or not.

Anyway, listen to music and throw things at classmates.

For the sake of argument, let's assume you're in a class where you already know the material, and it's clear that this lecture is not going to reveal anything new.

Sleeping or visibly goofing off would be rude. Fortunately, you're in school, so presumably you have work you can be doing - whether that's reading for another class, reading ahead in your current textbook, or composing that essay in your head.

Free time when you're not stuck at a desk is more valuable than free time right now. Therefore, you should be doing work now to get better free time later.

I hardly go to the lectures of some classes ... particularly if most of the information is already in the source guides. But when I am in lectures and it's a stupid 'lets recap what has been taught in the last three weeks' type of lecture, I usually just play "Sins of a Solar Empire" on my laptop.

Eh, school is a scam. You'll learn more just by reading the book. Sleep or bring laptop and play ADOM. I did that and teachers were still handing out free As like candy.

Pay attention, even if it is just a general education class. You never know what you will need in the future. I am not working in a field related to my major. I am using my general education more than I am using my specialized education.

Also, college is not just about learning the material. It is about learning how to jump through the hoops that other people lay out for you. When you get out of college and get a job, you won't be able to goof off in a meeting, even if it is boring. Better learn how to pay attention now, even if you do not want to.

Paying attention is good, however, in exams I used to get frightfully bored towards the end and try to watch the clock and see if the hour hand moves...

Pay attention, take notes, learn something. Make sure you don't waste the money you or your parents had to pay in order to take you to class.
