Remember the reason that TF2 has spawnpoints and linear progression in its maps is because there are objectives. Those maps wouldn't work at all if they were just "converted" to deathmatch because they would indeed allow for campers like the all-hated Engineer.

They could finally get around to balancing the things people complain about. For instance, maybe not remove grenade launchers entirely, but force someone to earn them mid-game; ie, a 1-kill reward or something.

Also, finally kill Makarov. It's too bad the first game's "houdini escape of Makarov" completely negated the feelings people got from the airport mission.

Better maps. Same amount of health/damage ratio as CoD4. Balanced killstreaks. More believable story.

I really think that would do it.

Seriously, isn't this why your meant to have these open betas, to make sure the shit doesn't fuck the **** up the arse. I retain after gears of war 2 and now modern warfare 2, betas should be made mandatory.
Why would you do a public beta? Having a public beta would make things worse. People would have found these glitches sooner and most exploits aren't even reported during open betas because people want an advantage. The game would have been full of hacks and glitchers from day one. Look at COD:WaW. Geometry glitches were everywhere during the beta and they still were not fixed intil months into release.

Akimbo shotguns should be removed but the pistols should stay. It is possible to akimbo pistols even though it is not logical in a firefight.

Remove killstreaks.

It doesn't matter how good your rifle is when a guy is spawn raping you in a helicopter.

Longer singleplayer and less shitty story, less scripted explosions and more sandbox-esque maps, squadmates with more character and vehicles.

The main thing that infinity ward seemed to do with this MW2's multiplayer is say "to hell with cooperation". You know how games like TF2, Counterstrike and Battlefield 2 (still the best one by the way) have in common? Your working with a damn team. Sure I see the appeal of being the lone gunslinging badass, but adding stuff like killstreak bonuses just encourages players to camp out or run around with detpacks like an idiot. OK, the detpack route is pretty fun I will admit.

No Akimbo shotguns. Some of the other things are actually possible, such as akimbo P90, but probably should go just because they are impractical. At the very least make reloading akimbo guns a very long wait. Make it so knifing actually requires skill. Add more modern guns, such as the Mp7. I basically want to see all the guns since ww2 in the game. Oh, and maybe this is just me, but please get rid of RPG style multiplayer. I don't like having to play for hours and hours just to unlock a shotgun I like. Also, if they are going to have special ops, DON'T MAKE IT JUST THE CAMPAIGN IN A BAD DISGUISE!
