Things you automatically associate with eachother thanks to gaming

The title's pretty self-explanatory but in case I worded it badly, basically just something that you can't help but think of when you see something else thanks to games.

The first (and possibly most odd) is that whenever I hear
(or the Tears for Fears version, but most people are more familiar with the Jules version, so I posted that)

I always think of this Battlefield Bad Company trailer:



I also think of 40k whenever anyone mentions Emperors or any form of purging.

Anyone else got something like this?

Oh, and March Madness with the thing on The Escapist. Conan O'Brien was talking about it, and this was the first thing I thought of. But it's actually a basketball competition in the US.

For the Mad world song, I always think of the Gears of War 1 trailer. That was an awesome trailer.
I guess Cake has now been forever associated with Portal for me, and I can't really think of anything else.

I started reading the Belgarion, and playing Mount&Blade around the same time that I discovered The National, so now whenever I hear their music my thoughts instantly shift to a map of Mount&Blade's world, or a particular passage from the Belgarion.

It's actually pretty cool, although distracting if the music comes on randomly, and catches me by surprise

I always associate games I play within the same time period with each other. For example, whenever I play Prey I always feel like playing Cod4 or Guitar Hero 3 after. It's pretty much like that with all of my games.

Also, crowbar - halflife, Emperor/purge - Warhammer 40k

Also whenever I hear "lockpicking" I think of Resident Evil, and whenever someone says "You were nearly " I think of "You were nearly a Jill Sandwich!" And I don't even like most Resident Evil games that much.

Also, "It's me!" always makes me think of "It'sa me, MARIO!"

Also also, whenever someone talks about their "little sister" I think of Bioshock.

Also also also, whenever someone says "Look at you " I think of System Shock 1, "Look-look-look at you hacker, a path-pathetic creature of meat and bone."
