I just learned that a good friend of mine hates (not just doesn't likes but HATES) Hotel California by The Eagles. I was under the impression that it was universally understood that that was a good song, at the very least decent. But this was a huge revelation for me, the knowledge that people don't like that song.*

So what did you guys, the wonderful escapists, find utterly devastating when you learned people didn't like it. It could be a movie, a person, a song, anything that you once thought was generally held at a higher standard.

*Sarcasm is applied heavily here, it actually wasn't that big of a deal

I can't fathom why people don't like hating FFXIII. Unless they hate it too much. Or just don't plain care anymore. I am bad at this.

People who don't like dancing kind of confuse me. You don't have to be good, just start burning energy to the beat and smile!

I am also amazed that some people don't prefer Fallout 3/New Vegas to the originals. The originals were good games in their own right but come on, this new game is awesome as hell!

I have a friend who hates Mass Effect 1-2 with all his soul and this also confuses and angers me.

And my wife told me Futurama is not any good! Still, I think we can make the relationship work.

You know, this could get really long. Let's just say I am confused by anybody who doesn't like what I like and hate what I hate.

Did you know there are some people who don't like The Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy? I can't fathom how they can't like it, even if they aren't nerds it should at least have amused them to some degree.

Why haven't Bioware unanimously been declared Game Developer Gods yet? It baffles me

I can't fathom that there are people that can't fathom that people can have differing opinions on everything.

The Decemberists. Recently told a friend about them and had a similar experience to yours lefty. I don't think he hated them but he didn't seem to like them.

Not only can I not understand people not liking it I cannot understand people throwing themselves to floor in reverance of the artist and fall silent for weeks in enlightenment and inner peace. :) <-------- Fanboy

I can't fathom how some people don't like food. Seriously, what's not to love? It comes in so many varieties and styles that it puts every single thing ever made to shame, not to mention how customizable food is.

agreed on that. i disliked that game openly from beginning to end and without remorse. never before in all my FF-playing history have i been more pleased to finish the game just so i wouldnt have to play it anymore. it was FF in body but not in spirit, in my opinion, and a real bummer that no legitimate fan should've settled for it.

i'd have to say i cant fathom people not liking classical music anymore :(

I used to work as a cashier, and one year around Christmas, some guy came in and started complaining about a Toys for Tots Bin. He said it was wasteful to be spending money for toys for poor kids and that toys were wasteful.

How...?
I don't even...
How is it even possible to get mad at a charity?!

I don't understand how some people don't like running around during gym class. Why just stand there when you could be playing a game that's going around you?
