I can't fathom why people don't like hating FFXIII. Unless they hate it too much. Or just don't plain care anymore. I am bad at this.
agreed on that. i disliked that game openly from beginning to end and without remorse. never before in all my FF-playing history have i been more pleased to finish the game just so i wouldnt have to play it anymore. it was FF in body but not in spirit, in my opinion, and a real bummer that no legitimate fan should've settled for it.
You do realize you just bursted into an angry and completely off-topic rant about FFXIII at a mere casual mention of it?

I am adding you to my friend list.

Tom Baker.

Yeah, strange as it seems, I learned that some people actually didn't like his antics. Go figure.

I just learned that a good friend of mine hates (not just doesn't likes but HATES) Hotel California by The Eagles. I was under the impression that it was universally understood that that was a good song, at the very least decent. But this was a huge revelation for me, the knowledge that people don't like that song.*

So what did you guys, the wonderful escapists, find utterly devastating when you learned people didn't like it. It could be a movie, a person, a song, anything that you once thought was generally held at a higher standard.

*Sarcasm is applied heavily here, it actually wasn't that big of a deal
Eh, I was never a fan of Hotel California. Memory association and all that. I like the song musically, but it always makes me feel uneasy.

For me, blueberry Pop Tarts. I know a hell of a lot of people who hate them, and I cannot understand why at all. That's the only flavor that never gets old for me.

I don't understand how some people don't like running around during gym class. Why just stand there when you could be playing a game that's going around you?
I've definitely got to agree with this one. Gym class gets worse because of those non-competing-people...things.

It's rather generic, but, I cannot fathom how someone can NOT like video games.

I mean, there's just so much variety to video games, from casual to hardcore. Games the require one button press and a flick of the wrist to games that you wish you had two keyboard for all your hotkeys and macros.

The only people I hear that hate video games are the people that have never played one and rant on and on about how they are going to be the downfall of civilization.

CAN NOT FATHOM! GAH!

Awesomely silly hats. They really are just impossible to dislike.
I am addicted to silly hats. This is no joke. I may seriously have a problem.

That being said, Pan's Labyrinth. It's the best movie I've ever seen, and when people tell me they hated it, a little bit of my faith in humanity dies.

This movie is awesome, and has Seu Barriga(Brazilians and mexicans is more likely to understand)...

Amongst my group of friends, we have a little joke that not liking the original Star Wars trilogy means that you have no soul.

That said, I say "being ludicrous". Because really, what's the point of life if you can't just discard everything and be a little silly or adventurous every now and then?

Not worth living, that's what.

this all the way. I got into an arguement with a few friends about me liking Star Wars. They said i had bad taste in films... I stood there with my jaw dropped. I tried explaining how it follows a time tested story flow, and how the main characters are achetypes, and how the plotis based off other great stories and real life events. They still thought i was wrong.

Nature and being in it.

I'm a massive fan of the great outdoors, hiking, kayaking, swimming, camping, spending time at the beach, seeing animals and plants... And it's all even better with a special someone! :)

But some people just don't like it. I don't understand. This is the world we live in, shouldn't you at least learn to like it? But nowadays it's possible for someone to live their life in an artificial cube...

I dunno.

Just ask them what it's like having no souls.

Ah, nature. One of the (few) good things about living in a 3rd world country is that if I want to enjoy an endless field that stretches into infinity, it's not more than an hour's drive away.

I don't like Star Wars. It's so tasteless and corny and stupid. Plus it's incredibly nerdy... Bleaagh. I will admit that Obiwan Kenobi is awesome though.

I do not get how anyone in the verse can hate Firefly. I understand that many have never seen it but recently one of my friends admitted to hating it. Shocking huh?

Fight Club. More specifically the twist.

It was amazing, and I've had people tell me it ruined the movie!
