]I really hate when people say "Once my friend..."

You know they are either glorifying themselves or making complete bullshit up.
But what if my friend actually did do something amazing? Like this one time my friend pushed over a chimney on an abandoned house and it came crashing down on the porch.

(True story too, I just needed to think of something a friend did that was awesome to annoy Gavo)
I say stuff my friends do too, it happens, but sometimes you know they're just making bullshit up. I see where you're coming from.

how about when people misuse the word "touché" ??
I just cringe at that. I feel like pointing out that we're not sparing. But at least I know what they mean. My English teacher actually wrote that as a comment on one of my exams.

But when people go out of their way and try to seem so smart by commenting on somethings irony, when actually the event was expected, they make me want to punch them/burn the book.

The whine of a mosquito... prehaps the most irritating thing I have ever heard in my life. People usually don't worry me (I just ignore them if they're being rude or stupid) but oh man... those little insects... they'll suffer an instant death if they're ever near my presence

I hate it when I have a legitimate problem or concern and someone just says "calm down." It has the opposite effect on me.

Mine is not hearing, but it happened to me today and I thought I'd share.

There is an ice machine in my upper level organic chemistry lab. Written on the front in big letters are the words "DO NOT LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN" and "DO NOT LEAVE THE SCOOP IN THE MACHINE."

Every person that I saw using the machine left the door open and the scoop inside of the machine. These are the kinds of things that I can't stand.

i hate it when people comment on youtube vids like

and

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V0_Xj9dZWI

and all they comment is "fake". yes maybe it is maybe it isn't but i hate when people yell "fake" over and over just because they want to look smart. Instead why don't you form an opinion based on the evidence given.
I fully agree with you there.

I hate people that think they are always right no matter what bullshit comes out of there mouths.
These people should be taken into a forest and disemboweled with a wooden cooking spoon.

people who say some bullshit and then say that its their belief and then it immediately becomes something you cant argue because its part of a religion.

how ironic
WIN
I was going to ride off his reply as a silly joke, but now I ask you, what's ironic about my post?
No, his reply is ironic. He makes an ironic reply (because he is misusing the word "ironic" at first, yet this misuse makes it ironic because of what you posted) just by typing "how ironic" at that's a fucking pure win.
It was like an intellectually blowjob :D
Oh, hah, I didn't read that deep into his reply. But yes, it's cool when a misuse turns into a proper use because of it's context. Too bad most times they just stay there, at misuse.

Since I was a kid, 85% of what people tell me has been a lie or in some way fallacious; so it drives me to the brink of insanity whenever someone tells me that "it can't be done," or "that is impossible."

It CAN be done; there is ALWAYS another way of doing/thinking about it, and someday mankind WILL travel faster than the speed of light without any trouble. That day, Einstein will be rolling in his grave for sure.

got that out of my system
