Rainbows are invisible from behind.
actually only you can see the rainbow you are seeing, everyone else who sees the rainbow sees a different one even if it looks similar to the one you are seeing, it's not
plus rainbows will always stay the same distance away from you, so you can't really see the back of a rainbow, they have no back only a front
Rainbows are made by light being refracted through water droplets in the air. It can not be seen from behind because the sun needs to be behind the water droplets in order for you to see it being refracted, and you can get behind it; You need to get behind the mist that allows the light to be refracted.

That probably could have been worded better.
Apparently if you view a rainbow from above (in a plane) it is a ring/circle.

That would work, as you'd be surrounded by water droplets.

On the topic of rainbows, haven't you ever taken a gander at puddles left behind a shower, when the Sun's coming up? Sometimes (I've noted), it looks like a pallet for 'Rainbow' paint...

Neptune has the fastest winds in the known Space-world, with wind speeds Exceeding 2000km/h. You throw a ball and it'll instantly break the sound barrier there.

No, you'd probably die. But points go to you for having a fun imagination.

Glass is a liquid, not a solid - you can see this when you see windows on centuries old houses, the glass is thicker on the bottom of the pane.

Every glass of water from your tap has been drunk by at least nine other people before you.
Your first point is not exactly true; they used to line glass with lead (that is of course very dense), and there is also evidence that the glass makers, because it's very difficult to get a perfectly flat piece of glass, would put the thicker end at the bottom (because the pane is more structurally stable that way).

The second quote should technically be "It is very statistically probable that each glass of water you drink has passed through at least nine other people...
Glass is in a liquid state though... thats why the old panes are wavy... thickness is due to the manufacturing. Most plastics are liquids too... thats why they don't work for structural supports as they eventually flow under stress and then the building falls over. (go polymer engineering grad school!)
you are actually all wrong...glass has been made into its own state of matter
the particles in glass are bunched together like a solid, however, the particles are in an unorganized state
the particles in a solid are organized...lined up
the particles in a glass are not organized

I feel sorry for Jeb Bush, i mean with that kind of DNA, you're bound to be an idiot. Think about it. Born a moron, it's unfair isn't it?
George Dubya got all the brains that Jeb was destined to get, but those smarts plus what he would have got on his own, still doesn't make him near as intelligent as the contents of a used condom.

Yeah, and it would be $20 a month to live there or they'd kick you out.
Oh dear, I'm broke!

3 people die each year (or day) from swallowing ballpoint pens

*twitch*

for the love of god drop the glass thing!

tom delay is the most corrupt man in america
you could go to fox news, pick any random person, punch him in the face, and deep down know that he deserved it
the war in Iraq is the same concept as getting stung by a bee, following it back to its nest, then repeatedly smashing said nest until the little striped bastard learns his lesson
terry schaivo was the most pointless thing ever, but still deserved more news coverage then Uwe Boll

I want to do that now...

"Heh, I threw a Nerf ball that broke the sound barrier!!"
(of course, the right response would be, 'On what planet?')

Now for a fact:
After a praying mantis mates, the female eats the male.
The worlds largest moth only lives for a week, because after it comes out of its pupa stage, It doesn't have a mouth. It lives off fat reserves.

Oh, and here is another...

That heart shape used during valentines day is not actually supposed to be a heart.
It was originally the buttocks of the Greek god of beauty Aphrodite viewed from behind.

this is more or less a question, why does the metric system mainly use meters, and not decimeters? The american system (I don't know what its called) mainly uses feet and not yards
it is called the customary system
