The Proclaimers [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tM0sTNtWDiI]. If by some chance you're not interested by the intense joviality of their music then you can at least take amusement by their appearance. I mean if by some chance that solid beat and melody doesn't hook you then at least you can make a few ethnic jokes or something (it's not "real" racism because they're Scottish after all).

Most recently, the anime series Gunslinger Girl...

I assume people that watch it expect it to be mostly action with little girls shooting terrorist in the country of Italy... and instead got a character-driven narrative that just so happens to have a sub-plot involving terrorist or something like that in the background to only further said character-driven narrative... (And the ending is not really disappointing, but more like "unresolved" in terms of the sub-plot...)

Then again, the manga does continue further than the anime... so, there's that...

Also, any movie that more of a character study than a movie with an "actual" plot... I guess those boil down to "If you don't like the character(s), then you're not going to like the movie overall"...

Iggy Pop, because how could anyone hate a 66 year old man who has more energy than all of us combines and is the most badass thing this side of Henry Rollins?

Failing that, otters playing with rocks is my backup answer...or baby hyenas

What about Queen? Catchy, awesome music with one of the coolest front men ever?
I can't imagine people hating them. Not even the black metalists out there. They hide their love.

I actually really disliked My Neighbor Totoro. I thought it was easily the worst Miyazaki film, and I enjoyed it less than your average action blockbuster extravaganza of mediocrity. It's not so much that I hate it, I just hated the two little girls. Unemotional, uninteresting characters that only served to take attention away from the beasties, and those were pretty bad too... although it's not like Miyazaki creatures can actually be anything less than fucking amazing.

In regards to what OP said. My Neighbour Totoro is the one Ghibli film I could not watch to its end because I actually, positively loathe it.

The main reason being a mediocre plot and the shrill, piercing voices of the 2 girls in it.

It's in my opinion the worst ghibli movie, and one of the worse animated movies I've seen overall.

I like most of the other Ghibli movies like Kiki's delivery service, Nausicaä, Porco Rosso. Hell, I even enjoyed Gedo senki - Tales of the Earthsea, despite it being a complete travesty compared to the original books.

But not Totoro. I gave it a chance. It failed to capture my attention for even a second and after forcing myself through 30 minutes of boring characters, boring plot and shrill, boneshattering toddlertalk, I just turned it off.

Water? Delicious water... mmmm...
You stole the words right out of my... fingers??..
But yeah, water: Probably not your favourite drink, but nobody can say they've never felt the urge to just have a nice refreshing, cleansing, drink of water. Well, spring water at any rate. I could understand why you may hate the tap water round your area, I know I can't stand the stuff!

sandwiches. I have never met anyone who didn't like these.
Well you've met one now!

Bread is just bland, and cold food never does it for me. Toasted sandwiches are bearable, but I'd rather starve than eat a normal one. When I do it seriously activates my gag reflex.

Also know people who hate Icecream and Chocolate too.
But then, I'm the one known for hating near everything when it comes to food, so, yeah.

For my answer, even though I know there are people that hate it, meat. You cannot hate meat. It is potentially the one food on this Earth I could never grow tired of, even if I had the same meat, served the same way, every day for the rest of my life. Dead animals taste delicious.

I dislike the fact that he is in almost every documentary now. I doubt that's his fault, though, I think people looking for narrators and presenters just aren't terribly imaginative and automatically think "People love Stephen Fry so we can't lose with him". I think one reason why he does so much work like that is his depression - he tries to keep himself busy and his mind occupied. I can't think of anything I could hold against that man.

Also, Terry Pratchett. Wondrous author.

The Feeling of Happiness. Kinda a cop out answer, but I can't think of anyone who hates the feeling of being happy. I know plenty of people who hate other peoples happiness, or people who hate various things that make people happy, but hating ones own feeling of happiness is something I have yet to encounter.

Stars, maybe? I can't think of any reason someone would look up at the stars and think they're awful. They're just there, and always have been. They don't give us any reason to dislike them, and give us plenty of reasons to be captivated by them. If you hate astrology or something else based on human observation of celestial bodies, I doubt you'd carry that over and hate the stars themselves.

I am full of resentment and seething anger towards the world because my life is shit and I feel utterly powerless in general.
As a result, I don't much care for "nice" or "cute" and the idea of "wholesome" automatically make me extremely angry because I can only think of "Western" society's oppression of marginalized groups (homosexuals or people of different cultures or color) when the word comes up.
Same for romance. All I know of love is to hate other people for being lucky enough to experience it.

See, the great things you love are quite easily hated by others.
I know well enough that the horrid, brutal and relentlessly unforgiving media / themes in media I am so enamored with disgust most people. I'm not even talking about violence (or at least physical violence), but I am drawn to depictions of mental anguish and existential dread because that is what I can sympathize with, I guess. So I like shit like Roadside Picnic, or Blood Meridian (okay, "like" may not be the right word in that case) or No Country for Old Men (not because of the cattle gun, because of Tom Bell and his little dream). Or Death is my Trade. Or Malevil. Or L'Isle. Fucked-up, disconcerting, uncomfortable things.
It's all just a matter of what preferences you have, really. But nothing is "sacred" or off limits, especially when it comes to hatred.
Oh yeah, remind us again how misanthropic and cool you are! I've been down that road myself, but gladly got out. Would have been fine had you contributed to the thread at all, but you didn't even do that. I don't need people to remind me of the world's wretchedness, I can do that by just reading the news.

Yes, you may find it boring, but do you actually hate it? If someone watches it, do you ask them why do they watch dat shit? Do you take against it personally for some reason? Did it make you angry? That's what I mean by truly hating something. But if it really is the worst film you saw in the entirety of primary school, you either have insane standards or don't watch that many movies to begin with.

And as for sleep, apparently Danko Jones ain't a fan ---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_Is_The_Enemy

Boobs are universally loved for a variety of reasons, and anyone who hates them is clearly an alien imposter and therefore has no valid opinions, except on the subject of consuming humans.
