No-one's said that yet? Seriously? You innocent lil' people.

Game-wise, for me it's strategy games where you can build stuff. I always spend the entire game building massive cities only for them to be crushed by opponents because I spent all my resources on pretty gardens and nothing on armies to defend those pretty gardens with.
Totally worth it.

As far as I know I'm competent at it, even if not experienced.

For me I would say pool. I'm not very good at it but it is quite fun. I suck. Well, not the worse, but nor good eirther.

Also I think RTS, Shogun 2 expecially. I suck at maximizing the potential of my resources, even when I'm not that imcompetent in the battles. But I have fun playing it. ALso I prioritize some things, so my balance is usually off.

RTS games, definitely RTS games.
But my god they're so much fun.
I've only played against AI because multiplayer turns into a rush-fest.

Bowling, but jeegus chfist it's so much fun.
Never thought rolling a ball at standing pins would be so damned entertaining, but it is.

BlazBlue. Not really fighting games in general, I can pick them up alright but BlazBlue is hard. I could barely get going on learning a character online because I would just be locked in the corner for two rounds in a row and die instantly.

I am STILL trying to play Makoto. I'm getting better marginally because the aforementioned corner traps have slowed down and I can actually DO things but boxing characters do not fit with me naturally at all :S

Ah well, I have good old Mu-12 to fall back on. You obnoxious zoning ***** you.

I happen to do that a lot myself, multiplayer matches just play out far too fast, most players just think that if you rush your enemy then the game will either be over fast or automatically get good.

I prefer matches that last at least 30-60 mins, drawn out matches in RTS's can be fun, especially when both sides have suffered such losses.

OT: Sniping on any game that has it, I love sniping from long distances but these days I tend to suck when compared to a twitch sniper or one who uses a semi auto (I despise semi auto sniper rifles) and I'm not that great at close range as a sniper.

Art. I can write, compose and play music, play any number of sports decently, but I fail at art so much. It's so frustrating.

Oh, god, I enjoy drawing. I do enjoy it so. But it's mostly when it goes well-ish. It's the one talent I'd probably trade something valuable for, if I could. It let's you properly visualise your imagination.

Much as I am merely a competent artist, I am merely a competent gamer, as well. But it really depends on the game. I'd say I'm a Poke-Veteran, but when it comes to competitive battling, I've only dipped my toes in.
And in that case, I just wouldn't fit in with the main people, the likes who use the best Pokemon in a particular tier all the time. Something about me...the artistic side caged within, I think, doesn't let me do that. It's meaningless to me unless I win with my favourites. I've never been a competitive person. Maybe that's why I have no ambition unless they're in fields I truly want to accomplish something, like art and in the video games I play. And there's my laziness to fight, on top of that.

The only think I can see myself being good at if I worked really hard at it is probably sports or MAYBE writing, but I say sports mostly because I've never actually tried it.

Snipers in any game, but mostly in TF2. I love the feeling of waiting in an ambush spot or on top of a building far away and just pop pop pop gettin headshots.

But I miss a *lot* and I totally lose awareness of the area nearby, so I get constantly backstabbed or just... rocketed by a soldier that jumped up to my perch. And at the end of the match my score is always super low. But it's so fun tho!

Oh my god. Magic the Gathering. I love wasting money on packs, going with my boyfriend to friday night magic, being two headed giant tournament partners...

But I am fucking horrible at it. He helps me make my decks, but I can play for shit. I adore playing it though. It's always so much fun.

Rush-fests aren't fun at all.
Where's the conflict? The major battle between two armies? The grand finale as you/r opponent makes your/their last stand? The rush of seeing your enemy's units fall and their structures in ruin? The strategic strikes and raids? That well-timed, well-placed support power or nuke/superweapon?
None of that is there when all it's about is who rushes who first. Sure, you win, but it's not very satisfying at all.

First of all: Cooking.

I really like the way how you can magically turn a piece of poisonous chicken leg into a delicious meal.

There are some other things like tennis and fishing but another thing I suck at is playing with a greatsword in monster hunter but I just love those bloody things!

Drawing.

I always wonder how comes I like drawing so much if I suck at it. Makes no sense!
I'm one in the same. I have an enormous imagination and can come up with the most obscure of things worth drawing, but unfortunately, the best I can do is a semi-good looking Kirby. Oddly enough, I'm adequate at drawing details on things, but the main concept just seems radically impossible a good amount of the time.

Fighting games.

I WANT TO BE THE VERY BEST

LIKE NO ONE EVER WAS

But then I play for a while, get trashed by a bunch of players better than me, and cry for a while in misery. Keep coming back though since I love them.

I'm absolutely terrible at golf, I can hit a decent drive but can't put for shit (I rarely sink a ball in less than 5 hits on a par 3)

Most competitive PvP games

Chess and Checkers

That's what I'm talking about, the moment you hear "nuclear launch detected" on games like Supreme Commander you know it's time to shit bricks (I've had co-op friends asking each other who launched who's nuke lol).

Also I love playing Starcraft II but cannot for the life of me play competitive multiplayer because it's too rush and quick paced with ridiculous multitasking and I'm not a god tier bred Korean =P

I'm definitely another person who enjoys RTS games but sucks at them. I used to love playing Age of Empires or Command & Conquer but I truly did suck at them.

I've been playing a lot of Civ V (I know it's Turn based but it's close enough :p) lately which hopefully will help me get better at them though.

Also, golf. I love playing it with my mates but I'm lucky if I ever get par on a hole.

Digesting dairy. I love ice cream, but it does not return the sentiment. I try not to let that stop me, but I almost always regret it.
