I get giddy whenever my car starts. Its an old car, and 9 times out of 10 it doesn't start up. So I get very happy when it does.

I get paid to play with knives and fire, the culinary subculture is one of the coolest groups of people I know, a lot of times I work quite late, so when others are going home from the bars, we're just starting, local bartenders and friendly chefs give me the best deals and will comp pretty much anything, knowing I'll do the same for them, portions at other restaurants tend to be larger, with the chooice food going to people in the business, and to top it off with a little cherry, girls dig a guy who can cook. Hachacha, I love my job!

Good lord, I can see why!

It's too bad I suck horribly when I'm around food.
To the point of burning microwave meals.

I get extremely excited about the holidays, and I nearly have a stroke when we start to decorate the house. Especially around Halloween..
Also, setting up my Lemax Spooky Town display for Halloween makes me giddy.

1-Yeah, it's awesome!
2-I used to suck horribly, too. I failed home ec. in high school because I couldn'y cook a quiche or bake a pan of cookies without having them look like something that crawled out of the Chernobyl disaster.[sup]It was a required course. at least one semester of home ec. and one semester of metal-shop.[/sup]
3-My girlfriend gives me crap every time I need to use a microwave because I just stand there staring at the thing like it's from another planet. I have little mini-panic attacks because microwaves confuse the hell out of me.

Oh, also OT- learning new information on animals like squids or narwhals always makes me a little nerdy and excited. People give me a hard time because I go from looking all stoic and creepy to acting like a little kid who just learned how to use the potty. And I share the info with everybody.

If I have to make a trip the next day and am driving there. I really like going on long drives with a cool destination at the end, I like them even better if I'm alone.

I absolutely love reading a new book. I get so excited when I read through it. Also I get very excited when I eat food. After all, you need food to live, and isn't that something we should all be excited about?

I get overly excited about flags.
I know all the "rules" about the u.s. flag, like if you hang it upside down it means you are in trouble and need help. I know a lot of useless history facts like at one time there were 15 stripes.
