Aside from better reflexes, coordination, and memorization..

I learned how to better count in odd multiples, helped math skills in general, lots of history and geography, a more wizened view of morality, cause and effect, improved reading and spelling skills (was always good but I know games have helped) some elements of supply and demand, better at quickly determining multiple outcomes from different actions, planning ahead in the short term with urgency.. It goes on an on.

Battlefield 1942 taught me the names of all the major battles in World War II and their settings and armies involved.
Same here, but for a long time I didn't know who won some of those battles IRL.

Civilization has generally got me interested in history and diplomacy. I've seen plenty of angry rants in online strategy games, especially that time I (as France) razed London during peacetime and had the English player swear an eternal vendetta against me. Compare this to the polite telegrams [http://wwi.lib.byu.edu/index.php/The_Willy-Nicky_Telegrams] between Kaiser Wilhelm and Tsar Nicholas as they discuss the beginning of a war that killed 100 million people in 5 years.

English. But it was kinda annoying to spend 5 school years studying a subject that was mostly pointless as I didn´t really learn much that I didn´t already know.

I learned how to make thermite from New Vegas. Do the quest "How little we know".
It's basically just aluminum powder and rust shavings, and can burn through steel plates.
