Title says it all. I would like you to think of a movie you dislike or hate, and think about something you actually rather enjoy about them. It can be anything, from a minor character, to the music, or maybe just one scene. Anything you can think of.

Well despite the terrible writing and characters being as deep as a piece of paper I quite liked the idea of the vampires in Twilight each having their own unique ability. It was also interesting the way she actually acknowledged the fact that having such strength would be quite difficult to not use unintentionally, as seen by Edward putting a dent in a car just by putting his hand out to stop it.

I don't like the Harry Potter films (mainly because I am a huge fan of the books), but I think the tone of the films was overall done very well. There was the occasional typical "humour" that felt out of place, but seems to be necessary for movies, but otherwise it felt dark when it was supposed to be.

They also made some superb casting choices. A lot of the characters look nothing like they do in my head, but Alan Rickman as Snape was a perfect choice, he nailed the role completely.

Despite disliking Avatar for it's clicheness, I admit it's nice to at least see that the scientest humans aren't assholes, unlike the military as depicted here...

My husband tried to make me watch A Night At The Roxbury yesterday. It was awful. Truly awful. It's supposed to be a comedy, and I never cracked a hint of a smile.

But the soundtrack is amazing! Gotta love some old school dance music.

I've mentioned before how the best thing Twilight has going are the B&W ending credits to Radiohead's 15 Step.

I thought Pacific Rim was, unfortunately, rather trite and clichéd, to the point where I didn't really enjoy it all that much.

However, the soundtrack rocked and the action scenes with the Jaegers and Kaiju (while contrived at times) were expertly shot and got the blood pumping.

I really liked the dream sequence in the artist, where sound starts to invade his life, and he's left behind as the only silent thing in it. The rest of the movie was dull as all hell, but that scene was great.

I can make a little list I suppose:

*Bane and Batman had hilarious voices - Dark Knight Rises
*I thought Clooney was a pretty good Bruce Wayne - Batman & Robin
*In Phantom Menace, Anakin never made mention of his "Dyad" (watch Jingle All the Way).
*The song Mark it Up and the fact that Sarah Brightman was Blind Mag - REPO the Genetic Opera
*The song I'm My Own Grandpa - The Stupids
*Ghost Rider possesses that huge ass digging thing at the construction site...no idea what it's called - Ghost Rider: SoV

One last thing: I love the overall design of vehicles in the four pre-Nolan Batman movies. Gotham also looked really awesome, like a neon Halloween town.

While I don't really hate Avatar, it didn't really strike a chord with me after the first viewing in the cinema due to blowing its load on special effects rather than actually decent writers who didn't just change a few terms from every 'noble but primitive natives vs greedy, irredeemable colonists' film ever made. The only things that really stuck with me are the designs of the creatures (excluding the Na'vi because fuck those things), the technology and the environments. It's one of the few times when someone's actually put the time into making a largely cohesive ecosystem (disregarding 10ft tall blue cat people because, again, fuck those things) while still keeps everything fairly alien (for films at least).

The good thing about movies I hate is that I dont have to watch them.

2012: Zombie apocalypse had 3 things I liked.

The main characters actually referred to them as "zombies". IT's nice to know that for once a movie like that can exist in a universe where films on it actually exist.

they made it so that newer zombies can move faster while older, more decayed ones are slower and shuffle. It was rather unique.

And they had zombie animals. Unfortunately it was only focused on for a few seconds with a dog to set up a fight with a tiger at the end without having any questions that would arise out of that terrifying concept brought up or answered.

Aside from that, it's a stupid movie with terrible CGI, awful acting, nonsensical plot and characters and horrible because it killed Crab-Man.

I really liked the idea behind Bane in the Dark Knight Rises being a posh power house though it was odd to combine well-spoken with talking through a codpiece.

I didn't like Tron Legacy that much but it looked and sounded brilliant.
