I certainly wouldn't say I hate it, but Pokemon. I was a complete fanatic as a kid. Just to get an idea of what I mean, here was my average day: wake up and have breakfast of Pokemon Cereal and Pokemon Eggo Waffle, play Pokemon on school bus, thumb through Pokemon book, magazine, or card collection behind teacher's back, play Pokemon with friends at recess, go home and watch Pokemon anime on Kids WB regardless of whether or not it was an old rerun or an episode I didn't like, play Pokemon for rest of evening, take bath with 'Pokemon Bubble Bath', go to bed, rinse and repeat for three or four years.

These days I just simply don't care. [...]
Heh, heh. Generation 6 is coming in October. Hehehehe. Going to get Pokemon X or Y? Heheheahahaaahhahahaha! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!

At first I was staring at your post and wondering what was so damn funny, then I went on to Twitter and heard the news. Wow...really? They truly must be out of colors.

Still, the updated graphics look nice. Really nice, in fact.

Your thread made me think. And so I thought... and thought...

Hating things. I prefer just to dislike things these days. Takes much less effort than hate.

Cream Soda. I used to love it. Then, I took this traveler's diarrhea medicine before my trip to Mexico. It is called Dukoral. It tastes like extremely salty cream soda. Every time I need to take it, I am always on the verge of puking after because of how bad it tastes to me.

Now, whenever I have cream soda, I can only think of Dukoral and the once loved fizzy drink suddenly tastes awful.

I'd be interested to hear why you don't like RoosterTeeth anymore? Maybe through a PM? I'm in the same boat. I used to love everything about that site, Panics, RVB, Strangerhood, their podcasts, and I was on the forums all the time.

And then I just stopped. I don't really despise them, but the love has faded
Probably because they're all starting to come across as talentless morons/assholes to me now.

The podcast is just a maelstrom of self absorbed idiocy and and the only thing I can stand from them any more is Achievement Hunter although Ray does piss me with his sheer desperation to be funny and the commenters have degraded into the same ones that turned me away from the Yogscast ("omg were is new minecraft episode").

RTAA especially pisses me off because not only is the art style awful, I know I could make one infinite better if I was being paid for it too.

And finally, along with the Yogscast among other channels, their community grew too large and then turned to shit.
I gradually stopped watching them about a year ago, because I got the feeling their gradually introducing all these new guys wasn't going to be enjoyable. I really liked the original crew.

Is that what's happened? (Wouldn't know, having not listened to or watched their stuff aside from RvB in a very long time.

Probably a few bands. I used to loooooove McFly between the ages of about 11-16 and I thought I always would. Think of how Beliebers are now but minus being on the Internet.
Probably because I grew up and stopped obsessing over celebrities.

Anime, the cliches are so abundant that you can predict the entire series by just the first 5 episodes. And dont get me started on shonen aka plot armor + friendship = victory.
That is a massive generalization of anime, there a plenty of anime that don't pander to cliches. What you are really saying is you dislike shitty shonen like One Piece, Bleach and Naruto as there are plenty deep anime. Go watch Legend of The Galactic Heroes, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Madoka Magica, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and try and predict the plot, heck even Code Geass and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood which are stupidly popular have unpredictale plots at points.

I wouldn't take my word as fact, I have a habit of forming excessively negative opinions sometimes.

But yeah, my main problem is all these new idiots they keep adding. Another thing I'm beginning to despise is how commercial Rooster Teeth is becoming, the ads in the podcast and YouTube channel were bad, but understandable. But now they constantly plug their ridiculous sponsor, some kind of caffeine pill that will make you epic GSL pro at first person shooters (they know their main fan base well), during their videos, they've been reduced to doing several let's plays a week and half the time the podcast just feels like one big Rooster Teeth ad.

Capcom. Man they were like THE company once. Resident Evil 4, DMC3, Megaman X some of my all time favourites. Sure they were stupid plotwise, but I liked the characters. Then their true colours are revealed. In hindsight, we should have seen it coming with Street Fighter 2 rererereleases and excessive milking of the megaman franchise with sequels. But it was soon obvious that Capcom never loved its fans back. They were just cashcows to be milked. Behing the smiling faces of the PR, there was a shameless company that took every opportunity to lie their fans, no matter how shameless. Behind those doors, there were talented people that are abused by a bunch of suits and then they left. Behind this logoi, there is only a brain and no heart.

Man that was overdramatic. Anyway thank you Capcom wherever you are and fuck you Capcom I see behind your mask now.

When I was a kid, Digimon was the shit as far as I was concerned. With nostalgia goggles on, it still is in some ways, but man oh man that show has not aged well at alllll. Eventually I actually got older than most of the kids represented in the show, watched the latest episode on a Saturday afternoon like I always did (season 4 at the time) and said to myself "wow, that was really really stupid."

I'll still sit back and watch season 1-3 on occasion if I'm feeling super nostalgic, but otherwise my love for the show just kind of up and left without any warning.

No captcha, I've never been a Resident Evil person. 4 was great I'll admit but it's the only one that ever caught my interest.

-Capcom. "No respect!" - Jabber Jaws.
-Anime. Loved it as a kid, then I grew up and now as much as I wanna go back I can't. Its like an old friend you don't want to be seen talking around with amongst your superior popular friends. Its a shame movies, comics, and video games took over.
-TV. Pretty much my childhood, now the internet is my TV. I literally witnessed the rise and fall of CartoonNetwork, man did it fall HAAAAAAAARD.
-Dancing. Yes... 7 years and while I learned a lot from it, it pains me to know I may never put it to future use. Oh well, to flash animation and writing I go!
-Syndicate. He seemed like a legit youtuber and a nice guy at the very least, then he got paid off by Capcom (the frikin' irony) to thumbs up the new DMC game just to get more sales. I've seen sellouts but this one was just cringe worthy, especially his "What the hell is Devil May Cry?" face he puts on the whole time...

Pokémon.

I got into the series in Gen 4. I was hooked, picking up Sapphire, and playing SoulSilver. However, when it cape to 'catch 'em all' I felt the repetitiveness. I got out with my wallet intact.

RuneScape.

It started going downhill early last year when they introduced microtransactions following the introduction of a wheel of fortune clone which you could buy spins on through microtransactions. And this wheel could potentially award high-level gear.

That and the combat rework has finally cemented it for me that the shareholders are thinking "We want to be like WoW! Lets copy everything they do!" so most of the preached updates so far this year are new raid bosses, updates to existing raid bosses to make them relevant after being left behind by the rest of the game and new quests which will probably unlock more raid bosses.

Not my cup of tea, so my stomach turns every time i think of going back to it.
It's Runescape for me to but my love for the game faded when they introduced the measures designed to combat the real world trading. It pretty much just destroyed the soul of the game for me and since then I've never gone back

The real world trading countermeasures are pretty much gone now.

JRPGs and Anime... well, a lot of oriental/asian themed stuff really. Had a big 'If it's from asia, it's cooler' thing going for a while, even the World of Darkness rpg was helping out with their 'Year of the Lotus' thing they did.

Really tought I'd be a fan forever... now I really can't stand most oriental/asian themed things.

You are not alone ! Ginger Ale is the drink of Gods !

OT: I used to enjoy the Spawn comic book, but now with the new direction of the story and the ocaasionally confusing (at least to me) art style, I cant stand it anymore. Then my girlfriend bought me a hardcover collection of some back issues, and my dislike got stronger. Now I just read the new 52 All Star Western for Jonah Hex

my dad probably, thought we were going to be the traditional father and son doing stuf together and being happy.

I haven't met my dad in 6 years.
Dude I feel for you, my relationship with my father hasn't been overly enviable either, the absence of father son stuff does kind of sting. If I had say something I'm over, it would most likely be hard rock/alternative/metal/whatever it's called. I was really into it, whatever it is, when I was 16, but these days I can't stomach any of it. Though the bright side is that the music I listen to these days is more cheerful and better in quality so I'm not at all disappointed.
