Being able to plant hedges. I don't mean the little blocks of leafs, which last time I checked still had to be attached to wood. No, real hedges.
But good sir! You *can* make hedges, simply harvest leaves with shears, and they become placeable blocks!
True, but those will disappear unless you place them on wood. I'm not quite sure what Notch was thinking, but it's quite stupid :(
Sounds like a blocky version of splicing to me, joining a branch from one tree into the wood of another will allow the branch to grow normally.

what I want is something half way between minecraft and terraria... I want the combat, boss idea, and gear crafting of terraria, but with the function and elegance of minecraft. so make your crazy big castles that get attacked by really big bosses! and give them something potent, so you can't just hide out.

Hmm. I like Minecraft the way it is right now, but if I had to add something, that would be more variety while mining. I hate seeing just the same stone blocks everywhere when I go mining, there should be different types of stone, they alreay have sandstone near the surface, but also granite, marble, limestone, basalt, shale etc. Each of these have different depths at which they are common, will have changes in the materials they carry (so that they also double as an ore detector, if you want iron, you go look for the rock type that will carry more iron.)
Oh, I guess just better geology in general, with different cave types, plains for building, then mountains for mining, all sorts of fun stuff should be added to the world. The construction is fine, I love that part, but we need more dynamics in the world itself.

you can make benches if your creative enough
But they will be redicilous huge. Yes, with some imagination you can transform stairs into benches but it's just not the same. And I would also like to have some more furniture than just benches.

Another thing that jumped into my mind was the ability to add more personal pictures. I know about changing the kz.png of a texture pack, but I'm talking about adding even more pictures. I would like more than one 2x3 picture for example.

But posting this here is not that helpful. If you (all of you) got a good suggestion, then post it in the official forum [http://www.minecraftforum.net/forum/1-suggestions/] for suggestions.

I'd like to be able to jump out of a boat or minecart without it flying away. Also, I'd like to be able to put two unlike slabs on top of each other in the space of one block (like a double-sided block, so you can have the ceiling of one floor to be, like, stone and the floor of the floor above to be wood).

Also, rail switches that allow for T and cross intersections. That would make my mines so much more efficient.

The Aether. It renders almost all other good mods useless, and needs to be integrated so it's easier to be compatible.

A grappling hook. Having a grapling hook would be awesome...

Also, having moving blocks would be nice.

And lastly, having a ''sticky block'' so that I can use sticky pistons to raise bridges from depths higher than 1 block...

remove the top and bottom limits. is it too much to ask?
Yep. The game is currently built around the height being 128 blocks, and it would take some serious modifying to make it work with more. I would take even more modifying to make it not fixed.

What I would like to see.

Additional slots for new items, such as:

-2 ring slots: Rings would give a bonus effect to offense, like a ring that lets you give fire damage to mobs you hit, or increase the damage you do per strike.

-belt slot: allows you to use belt buckels, these give you defense bonuses, like resistance to fire or explosions.

-amulet slot: Gives you varies effect bonuses, like increasing the drop rate of items, decreasing the ware the items experience, and such.

-2 trinket slot: These would be items that give random effects, like making certain mobs spawn less, allow you to see ore blocks, and other effects.

-packs slot: These would be different packs or bags that have different uses.
1) Back Pack: When worn, it allows you to carry 50% for items; would have a larger that holds double the items.
2)Bag of holding: Would function like a double-chest, allowing you to carry a large number of items while only taking up one slot in inventory; cannot be worn in pack slot.
3)Workbench Pack: When worn, it turns you 2x2 table into a 3x3 table.
4)Securi-Pack: When worn, it doesnt give any immidiate effects, but when you character is killed, all you items in you inventory (not hotbar or equiped) will be stored in a chest, simply breack the chest turn it back into the Securi-pack, and take back all your items.

-shield slot:When you have a sword (or other weapon, not tools) equiped, you can block attacks. All damage is negated, but the shield takes all damage, so it can ware down fast.

Not to say minecraft isn't already fantastic, but it could be even MORE fantastic if it had better equipment like 2h swords, daggers, and of course SHEILDS! and better combat, like maybe combo attacks, instead of just flailing the sword randomly.

Also, im pumped for Enderman!
