Things you would like to see in Minecraft!

I recently purchased the game, and i love it! It's great but I'm sure most of you already know that! (If you don't, you better get it! Steal your parents' credit card, I don't care just get it!) Anyways there are somethings i would like to see and there are probably things you would like to see too.

Metal Detector/Diamond Detector) Yahtzee talked about this on his Extra Punctuation last week so i really wont but ill touch on it, metal detector for finding metals, and Diamond detector for finding diamond made out of something a bit more difficult to get.

Gun) I would love this to be in the game! But it should not be easy to make, perhaps out of Obsidian and Gold? Nor should the bullets, One sulpher + one Iron should make 5 bullets. Just so it will hit the Cock monsters from a fair distance.

Copper) You know bullets are made out of copper right? Well thats not really why i want it... or particularly this, i want something thats harder/more durable than stone but less then Iron, this is perhaps just me but I'm a bit picky about making stuff out of Iron even though i have 20+ of it sitting in my chest.

Flashlight/Flashlight Helmet) This should work kind of like the compass, you keep it in your quick inventory at the bottom of the screen and it provides you light, it can run on batteries (Which can perhaps be made out out redstone) or be unlimited, It will let to you have your fun at night without having to plop down a torch every 2 meters.

Decorations) My Castle is a bit empty in the rooms, perhaps a bed or a bookshelf (Not the block an actual bookshelf like the door). Something of that sort.

Thats all i really want in the game

Also, a flying mount. That would be awesome and make scouting around a bit easier.

A flashlight would be good, except the death rate would skyrocket. I think Notch just doesn't want people outside at night.

Anyways, I want him to add Zombie Siege mode like he suggested he would.

Emm... no. Wa-a-ay to cheap, especially the diamond detector. No matter how much redstone it consumes, I, personally, have two double chests filled to the top with 64 stack of redstone(6912 units), so I will most likely never run out.

Gun
Also too cheap, but if you really want one, there's tons of mods that can give you different guns.

Flashlight
That actually is a nice idea, so long as it isn't very bright. Oh, and there are mods for this too, but they are mostly portable torches.

Decorations and furniture
ABSOLUTELY THIS.

I saw this awesome idea on the minecraft forums, which, if someone does it well(be it Notch or a modder) can make the game even more awesome:

wow i really like that idea of artifacts so you feel like you have a reason to actually make diamond weapons and armor, would be really useful to have an artifact but make it so that after you collect the ten artifacts it generates even more artifacts afterwards with even tougher enemys, like diamond creepers or zombies that use armor and weapons or skeletons with crossbows, would make the game awesome

The ability to cancel night in peaceful mode since you can't see anything in the night and the whole purpose of peaceful is so that you can build your stuff uninterrupted. Maybe in peaceful you could toggle and choose between night and day.

Also, just about everything else suggested so far can be done with a mod that you can easily get on the minecraft.net forums.

A diving helmet. Scince the removal of sponge blocks, biulding underwater has been harrowing labor after harrowing labor.

Stackable air canisters to replenish oxygen underwater.

Some use for gold other than clocks and aesthetics.

The afore mentioned mineral detector would be nice.

More ways to get items normally dropped by monsters.

I love the idea of a diving helmet. Disposable, with five or ten minutes of air. And when you're wearing it, it dispells the inky blackness of the deeps because even more annoying than the lack of oxygen is the inability to see. Well, the inability to see while squids push me around.

But what I want to see most is NPCs. In single player I build huge cities to get my kicks and they're empty and bleak.

using coal as black dye instead of ink pouches (Never actually seen a squid in the entire time I've played)

A use for gravel

redstone blocks

coal blocks

ability to farm mushrooms, pumpkins, and flowers (Like when you destroy them they have a chance of dropping a seed or spore as well as the standard item)

cobblestone turning into mossy cobblestone naturally over time

the ability to control mounts

the ability to put saddles on animals other than pigs

the ability to make mounts go faster than standard walking speed

more records for jukebox

back packs that open a mini inventory when right clicked whilst equipped

glowstone blocks producing more than 1 dust when destroyed

more uses for a bowl

ability to put messages in library blocks (When right clicked a library block would pretty much open up a modifiable journal)

I could probably think of more, but this is sufficient for the moment
