Good stories with good gameplay in FPSs. Why does it always seem have to be one or the other? The closest I've seen game get to this is Half-Life 2 which got the story right and managed to make the gameplay mediocre rather than terrible.

More older style FPS games. Thanks for destroying my favorite genre Halo. Too bad other companies aren't like People Can Fly, they actually know how to make awesome FPS games.

#1 - More Breasts but with a purpose. I can get breasts online for pure pleasure if I want, and that's free. If I'm paying ~$50 for a game I'd at least like to see some breasts with a purpose.

#2 - Seeing as how that first one is perverted and unrealistic, my second demand of video games would be to put more memorable music in their games. I can remember all the old tunes of the games of the early 90's/late 80's. But none of the music from today's games stick with me (Left 4 Dead excluded for obvious reasons). I suppose I'd like more effort on that part.

#3 - Less emphasis on graphics and more emphasis on fun/innovative/unique gameplay (and I think I repeated myself in there somewhere). I'm probably not the only one who thinks this. But while companies continue to strive for visual perfect, I feel there is a lack of urgency to make the actual gameplay improve at that same rate.

#4 - For Nintendo to stop being assholes. If you've seen my previous posts/online journal entries about Nintendo, you know what I'm talking about.

#5 - More original titles. I guess I don't care if we see a familiar premise or something. But I feel like we haven't gotten a lot of new fictional faces in the gaming universe lately. Some, but it really isn't much in the grand scheme of things. Then again, maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.

Locational damage is a plus. I'd like to be able to cripple enemies to a meaningful extent without outright killing them.

Also a deeper morale system. If an enemy is unfazed by one man effortlessly killing twenty off their companions, something is very wrong.

Some good female protagonists would be nice. Some gay ones, too. Hell, any diversity would be interesting. There's a lot of untapped narrative potential in the medium here. A good game set in Britain would be sweet too, being British myself.

#1; if I get a varied choice in weapons or combat abilities then PLEASE DON'T MAKE IT SO ONLY ONE WAY IS TRULY THE BEST OR ANOTHER WAY DOESN'T WORK AT ALL.

#2; no more cliches. I don't want the black guy to be bald, bulky and talk like Shaft; I don't want a woman to be a big titted bad-ass or a big titted skirt hugger, the list goes on.

#3; if you're going to include other races then don't make them cliches either. The scary looking ones don't always have to be out to kill me and the nice looking ones don't have to speak like wise british elders and perform magic.

I'd like to see more variety in characters so all my favourite games in 2011 don't get voiced by Nolan North. No offense but I looked it up and he's in uncharted and assassin's creed and apparently voiced half the npcs in dragon age. Maybe I'm just a little bland in my gaming choices or perhaps it's time for more games to incorporate more diverse story lines and characters than the simple one man vs everyone archetype. I would also like to request less glitches and bugs in the new year and more autosave points.

#1 More Interesting side missions!

#2 Bring back Health Meters!

#3 More interesting weapons!
I agree. with those. mainly. But actually to "Nanissimov" you should probably get Resistance 3 when it comes out. It's supposed to bring back the health meters from R1 and it has the most interesting guns I've seen in an fps.

Also on #3: it is so true. I'm actually okay with some quests being "go and kill thing" or "go kill thing and get in it's base" and whatnot. Simple stuff. My main pet peeves are delivery quests that aren't story important/take me to the next quest area, and the go murder 8 guys and collect 16 shoes and return quests, mainly since a lot of games some dudes who have shoes on their model apparently don't have them to take from their inventory. Or like each guy gives you one shoe or some crap. My only problem with Fallout quests is a lot of them are long and all of them except the main ones you have to go find from random person in middle of nowhere.

Also I agree with this. Not enough games have music that seems to really add to the game that much.

Plus I'm tired of games making a series but every game is just "Game, Game 2, Game 3, Game 4..." I mean I like how Uncharted is at least "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Theives, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception"

I'd like to see more mod support. Honestly that's it. Openly modifiable games tend to be much more fun to me than ones that tell you, THIS IS OUR GAME. IT'S NOT PERFECT BUT ITS OURS. YOU NO TOUCHY.

Look, if I want to play your serious gritty mature game with a cannon that launches garden gnomes. I'd love your game even more. And tell all of my friends.

Everyone, send letters and start petition for gnomes cannons in video games. Seriously we need more.

....And another thing, We need more ninja monkeys throwing bricks and zombie chefs and bald men with bionic eyes. ...Hell yeah we do. You guys feel me?

I stand corrected. Mines a 2004 eMachine. Piece of crap.
Hehe, I used to have one of those.

I agree with the skydiving thing though, and I loved JC2 because of all the awesome skydiving and stuff. :p

Don't get sidetracked: fill up your game with just what it needs. Don't feel the need to tack on extra missions, quests, weapons, characters, gamemodes, or DLC if it won't contribute to the core gameplay. If it's not supposed to be a sandbox game at its core, DON'T MAKE IT A SANDBOX GAME!

Also, stealth done well. Like Thief, Hitman, or Metal Gear. As per the above statement, not in every video game, but in the games where it could help gameplay (and there are plenty of those games.) Whether it's a stealth-focused game in general, or a stealth option, just no forced stealth sections

Strategic/team oriented fighting rather than lone wolf ramboing. Especially in multiplayer-heavy games.

A wider variety and depth of characters in general.

Less "Moral choice system" and just more choice. Do I kill this guy or let him live? It has no affect on gameplay afterwards, but what should I do? Do I save the president or the love of my life? The system part of the moral choice system just shoots gameplay in the foot. You could have a much more immersive and thoughtful experience if the player was left to worry about their own choices rather than have the game tell you what should be going on.

Idk that's all I can think of now. Also a wider variety of visual styles/geography. I actually have no problem with gritty brown realism. Neither do I have one with lush green landscapes, cartoony graphics, or watercolour.
