Well, good ones are. And of course, unlike novelty tattoos, they won't get dumber and more awkward to explain as the person gets older.

Turns out that most peoples lives just dont have that much meaning, hence forcing it to pretend that you're tattoo means something.

I'd rather just have dumb fun shit.

Anyway, they kind of take on meaning as you go anyway, via reminding you of people/places/ whevs.

Also, the best tattoos normally have very little "meaning" as in your narrow definition and instead are more just works of art for the sake of it.

I saw a really cool StarFox logo made into a tribal, just type "star fox tribal" into google picture search and it comes up, looked really nice. I have, like most people, been thinking about a tattoo sometime. I just couldn't decide if I really wanted one or not and then what I wanted, never thought about games as a way to do it.

You got one of your tattoos from Finland? What the he** were you doing in my country? I never thought any foreigners would get lost to this country -.-

I've only got one tattoo, a small feather on my lower arm. It looks surprisingly cool.

I've always liked birds. First year I turned 18, just finished high school, immediately started working. Felt I needed to get something I normally wouldn't do, preferably having to do with the whole moving out, starting life thing. Bird leaving his nest. /shrug. Not much special meaning, but enough for me.
Don't have a clue what my second tattoo will be. Only thing I know is I want it to ascend from the middle of my foot to my shin.

Anyway, as you want something totally not gay, I'd get a Nintendo katamari.

I am thinking of getting the assassin logo from assassins creed somewhere on myself, and the logo from the brotherhood of NOD

If I was to get a tattoo, it would probably be one of these. Creed logo on my chest, or NOD logo on my upper arm.

That's nice to hear, You got relatives here or just found out that this is THE place to be in after you came here ones?? ^^ I did hear some rumors that foreigners like this country, I don't have anything against it either but many finns whine about having to live here waaaaay too much (maybe it's like that in every country...). And that swig from the Finlandia bottle does not sound to bad either...

I'm not normally a fan of tatoos, but after Bioshock (the original - Bioshock 2 never happened!) a friend of mine got a subtle tatoo that I actually thought was kind of entertaining. On his right wrist (underside) he had the chain-link tatoo of the bioshock protaganist with "Would you kindly?" tatoo'd just below it in cursive font.

Now that, that's a good one. How big is your Red Pyramid, can I ask? That'll dictate my answer.
