If it's a typo it's happened quite a few times

And here's what steam offers me

run that through the converter....

They put a few cents on top for foreign currency but that matters little. Especially in comparison to Origin.

Funny thing is that Madness Returns is an EA game. You'd think they would have the cheaper price on their digital distribution.

How do they expect to compete with steam with things like that?
It's not like Steam is any great shakes down here on the nice side of the equator, either.

There needs to be a digital distributor who handles new titles that takes the same approach as gog.com does - fuck physical distributors and localisation deals, let's all pretend to be American and pay their prices!

Ha!

Okay, I'm pretty sure that's an error. If not, well... I shall be laughing at EA for weeks.

...

In the meantime, Alice: Madness Returns is $50 AUD on Steam. Fancy that.

Holy hell, that is expensive! Does it have a GECK in the back of the box and a book of reality warping spells for the manual? Because DAMN!

$283?

That's not even a quarter of the complete Railworks II game.

But for seriously, you should maybe check with Origin's tech support and see if it's just a massive error.

It is obviously a mistake. Somebody just accidently put a three on the front of the price. Especially considering when I just looked it up its priced at OMG $49.99. I honestly highly doubt that that screenshot is actually real in the first place.
Nah that's not what they charge for new releases. This is their new release section

Still saying $349.99 for me. You must have your region set to your own country.

Double check you haven't accidentally clicked on a 'multi-pack' like what steam does, selling 4 copies at once. I clicked on a link to SF4 Arcade Edition, and thought the price was stupidly retarded, and then realized it was my mistake.
No I dont think thats the problem since they only really do that for multiplayer or co op games

Ouch, this could be the first legit reason to acually live in the USA, cheaper game prices FTW!

Also, screw you, EA, Steam is better.

Wow.... 350 NZD = 1.500 DKK which is the price of 3 newly released games and almost enough to buy an Xbox 360 if i remember correctly! :(

That is outrageous, i don't know why the games are so expensive but that is just rediculous.

Seriously? Buying a console bundle pack doesn't even cost that much and some of them come with TWO games and/or an extra controller. I wonder if anyone actually bought it for that much?

I don't think there's any sort of absurd pricing that would surprise me at this point. It's all so very overpriced, I'm surprised that so many gamers are left.
