So my basment is filled with water. the roadways are closed. and it starting to rain again. so far this wekk has been harsh to Rode Island. I am the lucky one though, other people have water up to there doors, hell our local mall is completely flooded. so im wondering what is the worst nature realted thing to happen to you? water damage, snow storms, huracans.

Worst nature related thing?

Uh... It got really cold one day?

Sweden is rather boring, especially where I live, so mother nature doesn't mess with us.

Worst nature related thing that happened to me?

One time a tornado was touching down above my house. All I can see is nothing but white for thirty seconds. Luckily my house didn't get a scratch, cant say the same for some other houses though.

Makes me appreciate Ireland. No fault lines, hurricanes or tornadoes, forest fires, not a single disaster to speak of except the occasional heavy snow lasting more than a week. Even then not so bad. It's kind of funny that Ireland is synonymous with bad weather even though all that really happens is it rains more often than is convenient.

You know, I've heard that if all of America had the same population density as the Bronx, the entire U.S. Population could fit into Rode Island.

Anyway, sorry to hear about the flooding.

Well I'd guess the worst is some of the wind storms we get here, nothing to exciting

Do I get a prize or something for winning this thread?
I used to live there to, can I also have the prize?

Also, I was in Florida when a hurricane hit.

Our cellar was flooded once. But you know here in Bavaria, where sheeps seldom wear spectacles, nature related catastrophes are quite rare.

I was living in North Carolina when Hurricane Fran hit, and when I was living in Alabama before that our house had a tornado roll right by it, but that's as bad as it's gotten for me.

Well, living in New Orleans all my life I can say the worst nature related disaster was Hurricane Katrina. Completely leveled my dad's business at the time and destroyed my grandpa's house

A few of my friends died in a tornado March 1, 2007. They were in the high school ,anf the thing went straight through it, destroying the school.
If we hadn't moved away to another town, my brother probably would have died, too.
