OP beat me to making this thread. Admittedly I've not here been long, more of a lurker than anything. But in all seriousness this is one of the best forums I've been to.

Lots of odd people- and lots of awesome people too. This is my description of the escapist community thus far,

This is a pretty awesome place yes. Nothing is perfect of course. Like someone already said that the flame wars here tend to be long and involve a lot of "I'm right, you're wrong" attitudes(I sometimes do that too, so I can't really complain). It's still better imo than "lol u suck dick" comments that are thrown around in some other places. All and all, I like this website a lot.

Meh, the Escapist is pretty much the same as any other internet forum...just perhaps a bit more rounded.

But at the end of the day, it's not unusual.
