Fire Emblem.

One of my favorite games, also happens to be one of the games that pisses me off all the time.

IF I HAVE A HIT% OF 92 I SHOULD HIT!
IF MY OPPONENT HAS A HIT% OF 21% HE SHOULD NOT HIT!
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

I do this all the time with Modern Warfare. Lately my best game has been 10-7 I cannot kill anyone for some reason.
Me too, mostly because my friends bug me too. But yea..it might be because for me every game seems laggy as fuck. My KDR is slipping fast but also the fun factor is which was already low with everyone using One man army, danger close and fucking commando!!!!!
Oh, I wasn't the only one with the Call of Duty lag problem? Thank God, I thought I was psycho, seeing as every other online game I play is usually a pleasant 40-50ms ping, whereas in Call of Duty 4 it's always 200-250ms.
Its been that way for me for both MW1 and MW2. MW1 has been slightly better though. MW2 is becoming damn near unplayable. I should probably look into it.
I would, but I don't like the multiplayer enough to care, but the campaign in Call of Duty 4 is fun. But the end of that sniper mission is bullshit, it took me like, seventeen restarts to get it right.

Protip - Surround yourself with mines, grab an AK-47, go prone next to your sniper friend, toss back any nearby 'nades, and just AK-47-pwn whoever is dumb enough to approach you!

Sometimes Mirror's Edge is like this with me. Mostly because of the dodgy collision detection, but I still enjoy playing it.
I just bought that game ten minutes ago!

It's a great game. Get off The EscapistOr don't, as The Escapist is a great website and I would never want anyone to leave it :p and go play it.

Try different weapons, I think it is possible to get to used to a weapon or a weapon set.

You suddenly suck at sniping? Try a SMG. Your terrible with an assult rifle? Try a LMG.

Modern Warfare 2. Was playing today and was no doubt shouting like a madman at my team, my ping, Steam randomly disconnecting AND playing absolutely horribly - mind you it doesn't help prestiging and losing all of your unlocks :`(.

It's so frustrating when you are being Dominated that no one actually bothers to capture a point.

OK DSK, deep breaths now, deeeeeep breaths.

I just finished Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, and let me tell you, that was as mad as I have gotten at a game for a long time.

I died so much... particularly during one of the last missions, going after Shetland, when the game decided that it would be an incomprehensibly brilliant idea to give enemies FRICKING NIGHT VISION in a game whose primary mechanic is never being seen.

Two ragequits, on two separate occasions, ensued.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky, when I wasn't dying in undetectable radiation, getting killed by a few measley bullets fired from the all-knowing invincible enemies, or not being able to complete the buggy side missions, then the game was crashing. However, like Yahtzee said, this game is strangely compelling...

I didn't know that you bought it off of Steam. for all I know, you could have just come back from a local game shop, and then just logged on to The Escapist to find this thread and quote me because you just bought it. :p

But yeah, have fun with Mirror's Edge. :)

In Red Dead Redemption I was trying to get the "Most Wanted" achievement (get a $1,000 bounty in a public free roam session and survive for 10 minutes). Things were going pretty well until someone climbed up into my hiding spot.

It was no problem, he wasn't bothering me and I wasn't bothering him, so I figured I'd just continue on with my work. That was, until he put 4 bullets into my skull, ending my streak on minute 9 (I was keeping track). That had be the fifth or sixth time I tried for that achievement, and it was the second time someone who wasn't an AI killed me (the first time was my fault because I accidentally shot a different guy, and he planted several shotgun rounds in my back).

Although I raged pretty hard, that did not stop me from recuperating and stalking the guy around the map, ruining every single gang hideout he attempted. At one point I was actually sniping him in Mexico standing on the river banks in America while he was doing the Nosalida hideout, so all was well and peace was restored.

Get the realistic ballistic mod for it, as well as Clear Sky Complete. Fixes a few bugs and the annoying as hell weapon statistics.

I really, really hope you are just trying to get under my skin with that last comment. Because, well, that was uncalled for. That was a low blow, so to speak.
