Also, If I see a remake of Half life Before H-L 3 comes out, someones face will look like a spoon made with a fist...
That sounds like a serious threat. Let's hope you don't see Half-Life: Source.

(Unless someone else has already mentioned this...)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Zelda, Zelda 2 and Super Metroid. I'd like to see them in a better graphics remake but also change some stuff in them so they are not like the ocarina of time remake.

Master of Orion. MOO1 and MOO2 were awesome-I wasted away many sweet hours of my youth playing. Then MOO3 came along and was such a dog it destroyed the franchise. Someone needs to bring the awesomeness of yore back.

Baldurs Gate series, Planescape Torment, Arcanum, Fallout 1/2, Streets of Rage 2/3, FF7 and Xenogears. They're all great games with dated graphics.

Capcom canned a North American Mega Man Legends 3 release, as well as Ace Attorney Investigations II, and Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton. Not only would I love for them to do an about face on that, I would love for Mega Man Legends 1, 2, and the spin off, The Misadventures of Tronne Bonne, to be ported. Mostly those last 2, I'd like to be able to own a copy of them that wont set me back 80 dollars for used. Ideally, they'd also remove the edits to the English version, and restore Rock to his puppy punting ways.
I hear you.
The N64 port of MegaMan Legends was pretty good, thought it could have used a little tightening.

I would love to see an upgrade of Sonic Adventure (Dreamcast). Yes, there's a version on Steam. No, it's not a next-gen remake. I think it would be cool to play that game with all of the cool features we have now like Anti-Aliasing, Aniosopteric (or however you spell it) filtering, etc. However, I want the original soundtrack.

Also, I prefer Dr. Robotnik to Dr. Eggman.

In addition to all the others posted above:

Red Baron 2!

I also think that game developers(or some other body) should generally consider longevity and the archival of their games for future audiences prior to release. I say this as someone playing through Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) on xbl right now and thoroughly enjoying it as a game. Having this sort of thing just done as standard would eliminate the call for these threads...

So I'll be the first to call Final Fantasy 7 then, yeah?
Seconded.

Also Legend of Dragoon, or even better, a sequel!
Yes to both. I still regret never actually buying a copy of dragoon.

Also, how about the first three crash bandicoots remade in todays graphics as one box set. Same goes for spyro. Yes please.

Timespiltters and Crash Bandicoot (ps1 series) both series i would physically get off my fat butt and run to the store if they remade them and if they were out i will sleep in the store until they arrive.

Not to disrespect the game, but FF7 should not be remade. Next gen graphics, controls, and new content would be nice to see with an RPG that great, but think about Square Enix. Look at Final Fantasy 13. Look at Final Fantasy 14. They were an excellent team of developers, but they have lost it. I loved Final Fantasy, but after 20 years, the series needs to end.

On the more positive side, I would like to see a newer iteration of the classic Fallout games. I hold up Fallout 2 as one of the best RPGs out there, even by today's standards. As clever, entertaining, and well balanced as it was, so much was not there. Many sidequests, characters, and cool ideas can be found in the game files, but the game was so rushed that Black Isle couldn't implement a lot more content into the already huge game. If Obsidian (the dev team founded by Black Isle refugees) could remake it with their a new spin on their old ideas using the fancy new engine from Fallout 3, New Vegas, etc., I would buy the hell out of it. It probably won't happen, as Obsidian said New Vegas already contained a lot of elements from their old games. And there's the whole Interplay vs. Bethesda lawsuit...

Sadly, my nostalgia will go unfulfilled.

In this topic we post titles of old games that (in our opinion) need to be re-released. Classic favorites that just kinda died off in the last decade or so that we never see anymore. I'll start us off I guess with Grim Fandango. Please, Tim Schafer, have the game remade for XBox Live Arcade and Steam or something, I miss the film-noir adventure game that we never see anymore (The closest thing I could find to this was Hotel Dusk: Room 215 on the DS).
Just thought I'd let you know, Hotel Dusk has a sequel called The Last Window, if you already know sorry for wasting your time.

OT: Snatcher needs a re-release cause a lot of people haven't played that game. And I think that what with Deus Ex: Human Revolution being a prequel, I think Deus Ex and Invisible War should get HD remakes

Can't believe I didn't think of this earlier, but how about a remake/completion of Knights of the Old Republic 2?

Oh? First I've heard of that! I'm looking into that now!
