Not to disrespect the game, but FF7 should not be remade. Next gen graphics, controls, and new content would be nice to see with an RPG that great, but think about Square Enix. Look at Final Fantasy 13. Look at Final Fantasy 14. They were an excellent team of developers, but they have lost it. I loved Final Fantasy, but after 20 years, the series needs to end.
On the more positive side, I would like to see a newer iteration of the classic Fallout games. I hold up Fallout 2 as one of the best RPGs out there, even by today's standards. As clever, entertaining, and well balanced as it was, so much was not there. Many sidequests, characters, and cool ideas can be found in the game files, but the game was so rushed that Black Isle couldn't implement a lot more content into the already huge game. If Obsidian (the dev team founded by Black Isle refugees) could remake it with their a new spin on their old ideas using the fancy new engine from Fallout 3, New Vegas, etc., I would buy the hell out of it. It probably won't happen, as Obsidian said New Vegas already contained a lot of elements from their old games. And there's the whole Interplay vs. Bethesda lawsuit...
Sadly, my nostalgia will go unfulfilled.
