Some of you might remember when discussing Spore about how certain relgious groups would loudly object to the evolution feature.
An even smaller demographic may remember me mentioning my lack of surprise at this actually happening considering I'd seen a website for said relgious group described MGS4 as "designed to train those who will be left behind after the Rapture to serve in the Antichrist's military forces". That is a direct quote from said site.
Well guess what, they just reviewed Spore.
http://www.objectiveministries.org/zounds/gaming.html
Scroll down past the reviews of "Christian Games" and you'll see reviews damning "secular games".
You will find Spore, MGS4, Halo, Guitar Hero/Rock Band, GTA4, Bioshock and Bully (or canis canem edit, whatever you wanna call it).

Personally I find this website truly incredible in it's ridiculous-ness(?).

Discuss.

Don't you just love Christians.

If you want a truly Christian experience, watch the movie Jesus Camp, it's HILARIOUS. Worrying, but hilarious.

Hehehe... I hope I don't go to hell for playing Halo 3. Seriously, what is there definition of "devil games"? Halo is pretty mild in all respects.

Lol Wut?

Look at the reviewer's picture. You can see the brain-washedness in his eyes.

Unless this is a parody. For the love of God let it be a parody.

It's a parody site. Unfortunately religion-hating people will believe anything (irony) so every time one of these sites pop up they use it as proof that Christians "really are whackjobs".
In a way it's quite a relief that it's a parody...
I was more worried than proud at discovering this thing...

That's not one of them, that's from the site in this thread. I'll do some searching for you and paste the link here:

You know, if it weren't for the website then I would wonder if the reviews of secular games were completely jokes considering that everything except Spore said he couldn't play it.

Also, why is the website unavailable around half the time? I keep getting a 503 error.

Methinks not a very good server, since everyone viewing this thread'll click that link.

They're used to dealing with minority numbers.

Ouch! Burrrrn!

Hur hur hur... Probably.
I love how he comments about the imagery in MGS4 (which he didn't play) being confusing because it was written by a Japanese guy.
And why is everything about how everyone else hates Christians?
I mean, you'd think they'd be a little afraid for this life if their way of life was hated by (apparently) everyone but themselves. I mean, sure, they don't have to worry about after death, but...
You know, I just won't go there.

Hehe, funny thing is, most of the reviews the person did he didn't even play the game!

Look:

Halo 1 said:
(Note: I have not played these games since they are rated "M" and aren't allowed on the Fellowship U campus, so I am basing this mini-review on Secular media reports.)
Guitar Hero/Rock Band/Guitar Praise said:

You get the idea.

That's quite ironic.

After the Antispore fiasco though, I'm hoping for a Poe's law here.

In Zoo Race, secular librarian Hannah, after mocking someone for believing in the Biblical truth of Noah's Ark, has a dream in which her friends are re-shaped into animals just disembarked after the Flood -- only with crazy hats!
Oh, those wacky Christians and their hats.

Seriously, they're like mega-Christian Jack Thompson, how can you judge a game you haven't even played?

You overloaded the website's server, the error messages says they are having capacity problems.

Well Done (gives out cookies)
