Eh . . .

It's still probably better then Mcdonalds. *Shrugs* For punishment I think this man should be forced to eat all the food he's been serving his customers. That and he's forced to share a meal with the pope.

I saw the name of the link and I thought, maybe he was serving human flesh or something weird like that... this is much less interesting.

Yeah, "shop of horrors" invokes mental images far worse than expired meat products. I mean you this is definitely gross but not nearly as horrifying as I thought it would be.

You know what I really want to know? Who was buying stuff from this guy? I don't care what the expiration date is on a product. If I go to buy olives and I see mold on it I'm not paying for it. Were people really picking up rancid meet and purchasing it without question?

Wow...
Okay, I understand why some people might change expiry dates to keep selling meat for a little longer, heck expiry dates have a bit of a grace period incorporated anyway, but 10 YEARS!!!! How do you keep meat for 10 YEARS!!! Wouldn't it have disintergrated by then?!

I'm sure it eventually got to the point where he just kept changing the expiry dates because he couldn't afford to throw it out because people weren't buying from his store because it stunk FROM ALL THE ROTTING MEAT!!!!

I didn't even know olives could get mouldy...

If he could still sell anything for that long, it couldn't have been but so bad.

The Jungle comes to mind, and that was written over a hundred years ago.

...You're new to Humanity, aren't you?
If this is the most disgusting thing you've ever read, there's quite a few works of literature you must have missed...
And even more Historical records.

We're talking about Italy so I'm not really sure what the surprise is.

(Damn, that was one fine joke, wasn't it?)

Have you ever done a debridement on a person's rotted flesh with a electrocauterizer? Didn't think so. Rotted worm infested meat sounds like a holiday.

Gross, yes. But I find the tamest slash fiction in print to be more nightmarish than people eating meat with bacteria empires in it.

oh god that book. that made me stop eating sausage for about 1-2 years

I'm just confused as to how people didn't see anything was wrong with the meat. That seems a bit..odd
