It's your fault for buying the inferior version when a PC and next gen release of it was absolutely inevitable.

I don't see the problem here. No one is forcing you to buy it, you already played it. I'm starting to think people here have serious anger issues.

Thats funny because Im not even going to buy the game once. I dont care for the serious gangster style games. I said this with GTA4: I liked it more when it didnt take itself seriously. In that context for me Saints row is just more fun but even that wears on me overtime. Open world gangster games, turns out they arent that fun for me.

On topic, why is this journalisms fault? Theyre reporting on what a developer is saying and informing us. Thats actually good reporting

It is really ridiculous how they expect you to pay for a game you already bought that came out a year ago for a new game price
The cynical side of me says they think "Well the last of us got away with it so why cant GTA 5?"

There's a good reason to despise Gamespot, but this is not it.
Anyway, I'm not even going to click on the link, so to deprive them of at least one page hit.
Agreed and same here. I wish the OP had provided a Pastebin of the article in question so that people don't have to give them hits if they want to see what the OP is talking about.

So you want me to pay another sixty dollars after I already brought the full game at sixty dollars, while accepting more Micro Transactions that will make me pay even more for the game on top of the sixty dollars I already paid for a new version of a existing game. The more I kept reading it, the angrier I got.

Atleast in the regular media, it's republican vs democrat. In the video game industry, it's bascally 70-80 percent mainstream vs 20-30 percent critics.

This shit is what will kill atleast the video game console industry.
So how is gamespot reporting on what a suit for Rockstar and/or Take-Two trying to explain why the new version of GTA 5 costs $60 and not taking a stand on way or the other on the issue it (unless that is your problem with gamespot's article) destroying the video game console industry?

It seems (to me at least) that you problem should be with Rockstar and/or Take-Two's shitty business practices and not with gamespot.

You buy a film on VHS, then it comes out on blu ray with some extra shiny knobs and whistles, you pay the money again because it's another instance of the game, it's not like your buying another copy for the same console...

I have no idea what this sentence means.

Anyway, joke's on them. I won't even buy GTA 5 once!
It doesn't matter. Grr, games journalism.

*shakes fist*

Am I doing it right?
Those damn JOURNALISTS!

Writing THINGS... about stuff!

How dare they...

OT: Seriously?

Seriously?
THIS is KILLING games journalism? Killing the console industry?
I think some gamers just need a lie down in a dark room to think about things.

Pretty much this. These are the same sort of people who go completely apeshit because some total stranger with no real authority assigned Game X an arbitrary number that was one-tenth less than the arbitrary number they thought it deserved. Seriously, who gives that much of a fuck? Just play the games you like and get on with your life, I say.

yeah its pretty shady and seeming to become more popular.

tomb raider, diablo, you name it they're trying to re-release games to milk them for more money. Why should you pay full price for something that didn't take a full-price amount of work to make? you upgrade the graphics a little and make it run on a different machine. You didn't make a brand new game. Stop trying to rip us off.

I blame part of this on the greed of publishers, Microsoft, and Sony and the lack of backwards compatiblity on the Xbox One and the PS4 which why we're seeing this a lot of this shit.

Still just over here playing my 3DS, if anyone wants to lay off that next-gen shenanigans and join me you're welcome to.

Butt cereal, the article itself doesn't seem that bad, they're merely saying what the developers told them.

Shhhh.... You'll convince the OP that Blue Ray reviews are what killed VHS and we'll get twenty posts like this a day in an effort to "take down the man".
