If you are desperate enough due to them blocking the $600 a check unemployment relief, the GOP can FORCE you into life threatening situations for less than a living wage and make it so you can't sue your employers for failing safety standards, but they can still sue you!
GOP is cracking that whip leading the people to the slaughter house!

Billion-dollar meatpacking companies fined total of $30,000 after 10 worker COVID deaths, 1,600 infections

“A $15,000 ‘penalty’ from OSHA is nothing to a large company like JBS. In fact, it only incentivizes the company to continue endangering its employees,” union leader Kim Cordova, whose local represents about 3,000 workers at the JBS plant, said in a statement. “Many of our members, including the families of the deceased, are still struggling to overcome the devastating consequences from JBS' inaction and negligence.”

The Department of Labor said the fines were the maximum allowed under law. The feds cited the companies “failing to protect employees from exposure to the coronavirus."

It isn't just meat packers, this is happening all over:
Hundreds of Mass. workers say companies failed to protect them from COVID-19
Experts worry federal government isn’t holding employers accountable
Yet worker advocates, as well as former leaders of the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration, say the federal agency is falling short of its duty to hold employers accountable.
Most of the OSHA complaints have come from those considered essential workers, such as medical staff, delivery personnel, and supermarket employees, records show.
Some workers said they were forced to work alongside sick colleagues. Others said they were ordered to keep working with symptoms or confirmed infections. The accusations include complaints about a lack of masks, gloves, and personal protective equipment and assertions that companies failed to adequately clean work spaces or communicate risks to employees.
“This pandemic has created an unprecedented worker health and safety disaster,” said Jodi Sugerman-Brozan, executive director of the Massachusetts Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health. "People are literally dying from work.”

Many Say OSHA Not Protecting Workers During COVID-19 Pandemic

In this pandemic, OSHA has decided, really, not to enforce the law. Federal OSHA has received, you know, about 18,000 complaints with state OSHAs, and they have already closed 12,000 complaints that they received from terrified workers. OSHA simply sent a letter to the employer and said, you have to investigate yourself; we don't have any real specific requirements. And then the employer would write back, you know, we're doing what we can. And OSHA closed the case.

Global: Health workers silenced, exposed and attacked
Governments must be held accountable for the deaths of health and essential workers who they have failed to protect from COVID-19, Amnesty International said today, as it released a new report documenting the experiences of health workers around the world.
The organization’s analysis of available data has revealed that more than 3000 health workers are known to have died from COVID-19 worldwide - a figure which is likely to be a significant underestimate.
Alarmingly, Amnesty International documented cases where health workers who raise safety concerns in the context of the COVID-19 response have faced retaliation, ranging from arrest and detention to threats and dismissal.

As students return, the deaths of at least six teachers from covid-19 renew pandemic fears

GOP is so intent on forcing the struggling and unemployed into even more desperate situations IN SPITE of their golden overlord demanding it because he is slipping in the polls:

"Senate Republicans on Wednesday brushed off calls from President Donald Trump for a bigger coronavirus relief package, casting doubt on whether there is enough GOP support to move forward with additional economic stimulus measures just seven weeks before Election Day."

"Senate Majority Whip John Thune (R-S.D.) warned Wednesday that the bigger the price tag for any relief package, the more difficult it would be to get Senate Republicans on board.

“If the number gets too high, anything that got passed in the Senate will be passed mostly with Democrat votes and a handful of Republicans so it’s gonna have to stay within a realistic range if we want to maximize, optimize the number of Republican senators that will vote for it,” Thune said."
