when I first heard about dead space for the wii, I was like no, just no.
Why? That game kicked ass. It would be great for Wii. FPS controls are supposed to be very good on Wii. Even better with that Wii Motion Plus too I guess. I am plying through Dead Space for the third time trying to get all the Trophies.
Yes, FPS controls are good on wii, but dead space is a TPS. If they changed dead space to a FPS I guess it would be okay, but I like how dead space is a TPS, because in my opinion, TPS>FPS. I liked dead space also, don't get me wrong.
well it worked this well on Xbox http://www.kotaku.com.au/games/2009/02/dead_space_was_developed_for_xbox-2.html

Dragon Quest X, No More Heroes 2, Dead Space
That's all well and good, but...

Looks like my Wii will yet again be spending more time collecting dust than playing games :|

True, but then not a whole lot more powerful.

Still, I'm not one to complain about somewhat primitive graphics, as long as they are done well.

Sadly, I'm only really interested in 3 of those, and two of them is either a bloody FPS or a bloody game in general!

Looks like I'll have to invest in the Final Fantasy game mentioned above... not that much else there to interest me though.

That video was hard to make out. I'm just saying a TPS on the wii sounds bad. I guess it wouldn't be that bad. Resident Evil 4 did it right. But that is an over the shoulder TPS, its like a FPS. I forget if Dead space is like that, but I'm pretty sure its more gears of war-ish or something.
I'm very much positive Dead space is very much in the same vein as RE4, and RE4 Wii was the definitive version (not saying that dead space wii will be that at all, but I think will still be good). Besides, what proof is there that third person shooters on wii is a bad idea? I think this is a great idea.

So what do you guys think? Excited about any of this?
I have HOTD: Overkill now, and that list is going to make me a very poor man by the end of this year.

Oh, besides Dead Rising, which is a half-assed attempt at making money whilst giving out minimal effort into the development of a game, and I hope it sells terribly.

The ones I am definitely getting from there is Red Steel 2, The Conduit, MadWorld, Monster Hunter 3, Tenchu: Shadow Assassins (which I wasn't sure on, but it's bloody Tenchu so I guess I'll be getting it), Bleach versus Crusade (when I get paid), Dead Space Wii if it is a good effort of a game, and the next Naruto game because this one doesn't justify the money they are asking for.

Also you missed Tatsunoko vs Capcom, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, the Crystal Bearers. I guess I will have to request money towards a PS3 for christmas, because I am certainly not getting one any time soon (I was going to get one around that time anyway, hell I might just defer it until 2010, there's no rush).

The Conduit actually interests me, even though I'm usually not interested in FPS games. Though I'm also contemplating getting Halo 3 and Killzone 2 now, just because I'm tempted to see how they compare to each other. Of course, thats all still a long way off for me so until then I'm just going to keep drooling over thoughts of my future gaming rig. XBox 360, Wii, PS2, PS3, and high-end PC all hooked up to an HD TV...

Anyway, Arc Rise Fantasia I fully intend to pick up. Might check into Muramasa and, if it comes out here, Fragile. Also eagerly awaiting at least one game you didn't list there, Phantom Brave Wii. Only a Japanese release date now but I figure its only a matter of time before NISA localizes it. Plan to get the Wii Motion Plus whenever I get the Wii as well, obviously. I tend to dread games that make me actually use the wiimote but maybe the Wii Motion Plus can change my mind...

Every year is a good year for the Wii. It may as well be a combination gold bar generator/money printing/massage machine, at the rate they're selling.

The question is whether or not it's going to be a good year for real gamers who happen to own a Wii. In my opinion, Punch Out makes it all worth while.

That's odd, I can't work up any sort of interest towards The Conduit. It's a mature-themed game that the Wii desperately needs, but it has yet to really get me hooked.

Now House of the Dead: Overkill and Madworld, on the other hand....
