Here was me thinking that England and America were getting on like a house on fire these days... and then I read this comment on a YouTube video from a so called 'Proud' American "***** shut up! FUUUUCK england! fuck your shitty wig wearing army too! fuck off this is an AMERICAN video for AMERICANS not tea loving punk bitches!"

Now maybe this is me being ignorant as I live in here, but is this what you (by you I mean people reading this thread who are American) really think of us? Or just some dipshit troll on a YouTube video.

There were also a lot more comments similar to his and not a lot of Americans stepping in to correct him...

The main annoyance from the Brit's about Americans is the perceived use and abuse of the language. But i think that's because we're a bit stuck up about our language, it comes from being in close proximity with France.

Pretty much this. Most people love to troll the site and make those comments anyway. They're probably not even American (though with the stupidity in my country, I wouldnt doubt it), and are just saying that to say it.

The opinion you quote is worth absolutely sod all. The commenter's on YouTube are like a cage of Howler Monkeys: all noise with no discernable meaning to humans. The most they're worth is a facepalm, and that's if they're lucky.

Someone still reads the youtube comments? I stopped a long time ago because of the large number of trolls, idiots, racists, xenophobes, and just about any other type of idiot you can think of all mashed in together and given a microphone.

So no we American's don't hate the British (well most of us don't) and you should stop reading youtube comments because just about any bad thing that can be said will be said and it's better to not even bother reading them.

I think the English are a very proud, noble and wonderful people. Like all countries, they have their share of foolish, uncivilised folk and while once owning over half of the world they have been reduced to a foolishly governed province, bullied by their continental neighbours into housing a massive number of immigrants, legal or otherwise, and having to pay billions without good cause.

All in all, the English are a lovely people to know, but do not be fooled by the terrible, slanderous image set upon them by the rest of the world.
