Story:
The story was good, I enjoyed the unpredictability of it but there was not really an overarching plot, just chaos in Gotham City over one night. Was sort of disappointed Black Mask wasnt the main villain and it became a Bane/Joker show. It had some emotional moments too and was very tense and always had you guessing on what would happen next.

Level design:
The interior level design was good, much better than City and nearly up there with Asylum. The Blackgate and Asylum and Hotel and sewer sections evoked feelings of Asylum for me which is very good. The outdoors citty however was somewhat sparse and forgettable but the bridge sections were amazing.

Boss fights/villains:
Really enjoyed some of the boss fights, including Deathstroke, Firefly, Copperhead. However the constant repeated Bane boss fights really got to me.

General combat and difficulty:
Enjoyed the challenge of the game, much harder overall than City which was great. I often felt I had to use all my gadgets in a fight and often came out with only a sliver of health.

What are your thoughts on the game? Why didn't people like it?

A lot of people disliked it because it's supposedly very buggy. I however didn't run into any bugs on my playthrough, and I thought the game was pretty good.

The combat was a lot more challenging this time round, and the bosses and the improvements to the detective mode were great. Plus it was good to see some of the lesser known villains.

My only problems with it was:

1)that it kind of felt like an expansion to Arkham City as opposed to a full game.

2)They hyped Deathstroke up way too much considering:

He was hardly in the fucking game at all.

3)
That the fucking Joker is the main villain yet again. I was really looking forward to a game without him as the lead villain, especially if it's Black Mask taking the reigns, but they had bring him back yet again. This also happened to a lesser extent with the Riddler. In the previews they said that Anarky would be this game's equivalent of the Riddler, leaving challenges for Batman to solve and stuff like that... but they have to bring him back as well!

But yeah, aside from those issues I thought it was a pretty good game.

After days of playing the game, finishing a New Game+ mode I found out that there is a secret side mission. Freakin' awesome. I miss the days when secrets in games were more common.

The mission is about
Cyrus Pinkney Murder Investigation
And you trigger it by
scanning plaques scattered across the city

This is the kind of stuff that's been missing from Arkham City, sadly. But it reminds me of Arkham Asylum.

I love the MP. I haven't gotten around to the campaign yet since I love the MP. I usually don't touch mp but it keeps pulling me back in

I can't really say anything about it, what with Jimbo already speaking for me with his final review on Destructoid about it. Hit the nail on the head, he did.

I really enjoyed it and I actually almost consider it superior to Arkham City as it really is an improvement on that game in alot of ways, the prevalence of bugs however and other overall design flaws are what holds it back which is unfortunate as the game underneath really is very good.

My biggest concern with the game right now is that I'm early into the New Game + and only have 5 of the "Worst Nightmare" challenges(challenges which need to be primairly completed in Predator sections) completed from my original playthrough. As there are only a few "official" Predator encounters in the main story and they never respawn after they're completed I'm concerned I may be unable to complete all the challenges in the New Game + and since there's no other way of replaying the story without starting a new profile it may be impossible to achieve 100% if I can't do it... I feel this is one of those design flaws mentioned earlier.

The gameplay was good, same as the previous ones. Story sucked, just a series of boss fights, 2 of which you beat within the first hour with zero build up - including a certain over hyped merc. There is no story to them, they just turn up pretty much with a "here i am, come get me" attitude. The only story point i enjoyed was with batman and joker and how he reacts to the fact you wont kill. I wish the whole game was about that, maybe tons of joker traps putting you in positions that would involve you killing.

If there is a new game, they should bring it back to one area like AA. I just find with the city wide level its just there to waste your time flying around it to the next area. If they do have a city, then have more indepth storylines with each of the main villians and have real people around and not just a city full of thugs and killers.

It's a patchwork coat made from Rocksteady's hand-me-downs. And if you tug at the seams, it all falls apart.
I already wrote a review for it; [a href=http://www.giantbomb.com/batman-arkham-origins/3030-42245/user-reviews/2200-26689]I called it the Batman Forever of the Arkham series[/a].

i think it was the weakest of the series, it was fun to play, but i expected a bit more innovation i guess.

I like the game so far. Finished the main story and most of the Side Quests. Not sure if i like
the combat though.. It's more difficult than City (that's a good thing for me) but i disliked the
longer animations (and the stunlocking by 4 mooks as a result). It did make me use more kinds of moves
though.

Stealth i think has improved the most. The quicker silent takedown and the Remote Claw are a big improvement.

Liked the story, although i didn't like Bane's third battle. Boss battles (Shock Guy is no boss battle to me) have improved though.

My biggest concern was with the upgrade tree. I hated that they made certain upgrades (Critical Strikes, Weapon Breaking) side-mission specific rewards. I don't need 4 health upgrades when i start.. i need my break weapon move, my critical strikes, and my adrenaline. That's it.
