British stereotypes? Awesome and fucking scary. I mean, hooligans, best rockers in the world and food that will kill you. That's a fucking hardcore country right there.

Also, since The Beatles come from England, that makes it the most awesome place ever to have existed.

Beatles > Michael Jackson, Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Anyone else

Britain is a nice country. We are a very varied country. Also, we breed good scientists.

I'm Australian.

I don't think about Britain much. Unlikely that I'll ever go there unless someone else pays for it, because I kinda of prefer the hot weather where I am. Although I think girls with English accents are kind of hot, so maybe if I ran into enough money I'd go during the Australian winter...

You're forgetting that the Beatles didn't get full worldwide recognition until they toured in America.

OT: They're alright, I guess.

It seems to me they don't see themselves as Europeans. I know that's oversimplifying things. But I'm a simpleton at heart.
I used to care about Britain as I do about all of Europe but I sort of stopped caring somewhere along the road.
Just some island off the coast I don't feel any connection to anymore. *sob*

I hate it when people think Britain is a single country and when they say 'a British accent'. Theres no such thing. It pisses me off so much.

Who cares about that? Are you trying to make America look superior to Britain with that argument? That's pretty fucking stupid of you.

The stereotype of cheerio oxford graduate type is amusing. The chav/hooligan stereotype is just awful! My best friend has family in France when we went to visit their friends said to us oh i hear that English girls like to drink alot and are promiscuous ho ho ho. I hate being British and English.

Isn't that more of a stereotype on people that aren't from Britain? Maybe it applies to both...

Well, judging from stereotypes in American media... You all love scones and muffins a helluva lot. Otherwise, we don't really get much info on the nation that founded the 'states so-to-speak. You'd be surprised how our history texts depict the British, honestly. Decided not to post any of that shit as it might make me seem like a bigot.

I'm just stating that part of your argument is false.

They're not cattle.

OT: A British patriot? Huh. Never heard of a patriot over here - don't get me wrong I like the country but 'patriot' seems like such an American word (they're the only ones I've ever heard say it consistently - stereotyped!).

We do have the best music in the world though.

And I'm just going to adopt the Killers as British to take into account that last statement.

That's... an odd thing to say. America's about 100x bigger (note: not an actual fact) than Britain, that's why they got world wide recognition from going there. That's got no impact on their music at all, and still doesn't change where they came from.

I'm from Britain, and to be honest it's not that great. Too many overcrowded cities for my liking, too many chavs.
I think British stereotypes are just wierd (just like any, really).

I do like our food, music and sense of humour though...
