Do you think every state should allow medical marijuana? When NJ finally gets around to putting the shops, etc. in place (not sure where they are other than passing it), my mother is eligible. I think it's a good idea, if it really helps people with pain.

i believe in the outright legalization of marijuana
not only would legalizing cut down on crime but if taxed
the money from the tax could help fix the economy

Yes, I do think they should legalize medicinal use of cannabis.

It has several proven medicinal effects, so I see no reason not to use it.

It's not like they don't use morphine anymore, is it?

I would say legalise it, But a friend of mine has just become a massive stoner in the space of a few weeks...

Yes allow it to be used for medical purposes, but if it's going to be fully legalised it should be majorly restricted.
That is in fact the best argument for legalization, regulation.
18 year age limit, limit's on quantity one can buy in a single purchase.

Besides, he becoming a stoner in a few weeks has more to do with him that the cannabis.

I have seen the effects of long term marijuana use.

I refuse to support anything that involves people using it.

Yes, and I think they should allow recreational marijuana too. It makes no sense that marijuana is banned but alcohol is allowed.
Also maybe then I wouldn't have to put up with stoners acting like it's someone godly thing if everyone did it and it became more expensive.

Not even to help terminal cancer patients who will die and need something to make their last days better?

Also, if you take it for too long then you become dependant on it and never quit.

And it messes up your head.

And we are talking about people that smoke all day everyday here, yes?
Then yes, your short term memory tend to suffer a lot.
Paranoia is also a known side effect, I won't contest that.

I do disagree that it makes you stupid though.

Anyway, the people that smoke that much are a minority. Just like alcoholics are a minority of the people that enjoy alcoholic beverages responsibly.

Maybe stupid isn't the right word, but it makes you really slow. I've seen this first-hand.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the drug psychosis.

So what are you views on Alchohol? Marijuana is actually less addictive than caffeine and a Joint, is less harmful than a pint of beer. "Your memory turns to shit and you become really paranoid, it also makes you stupid." And that is mostly hyped up propaganda. I can openly say I have smoked Marijuana, and I have had none of these problems.

Just letting people use marijuana is setting a bad influence.

Marijuana should NOT be legal. it wrecks lives.

My views on alchohole are differant because I have had less exposure to it.

But I don't like it either.

could you be more specific with "pain" please?

people with a broken bone as such can have morphine, although its a form of herointhe usage is tightly monitored and would be a better substitute for those hospitalised and again codine is also a form heroin its additive and largely discredited for its use in paracetamol's (and other pain killers) it has killed and ruined several peoples lives

if the person was suffering from a terminal disease/disorder its likely that are going to be in extreme pain which in case imo I would support them having marijuana to relive the pain...besides what else what they have to live for.

Chocolate? I'm pretty sure once you are in palliative care you are given the keys to the hospital drug cabinet and allowed to go nuts. A friend of mine with an inoperable brain tumour ended up in this position and spent her last few weeks off her chops on morphine.

When you are getting into the morphine, oxycontin, pethidine, etc I don't think smoking a joint makes one iota of difference. These other drugs are much more harmful, addictive, expensive etc than marajuana so I guess you are against people using them too?

I guess you could just sit by their bedside with your acoustic guitar strumming "kumbayah" to make them feel better

Any pain that cannot be relieved by other means. This would cover diseases such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, etc. However, I wouldn't begrudge someone with, say, a chronic knee condition that can't be fixed, from getting medical marijuana.
