Thoughts on Minecraft 1.1 Update

I really like this update. It fixes a lot of bugs that have been, well, bugging me. I don't mind having updates that aren't adding very much content, it allows me time to catch up on the few things they did add before yet another update shows up.

What is your favorite part in the update? Obviously mine is the ladder no longer have a collision box.

I haven't played in a while, but the inclusion of new sound effects scared the crap out of me. The main way that you identify enemies is by sounds, so when my pickaxe broke, and when I ate my porkchop, I jumped.

I had no idea about the item breaking sound either and the hurt sound when it first came out either, scared the crap outta me when I was recording.

It looks alright, nothing too major or anything that really makes me want to play it again. The bad thing about Minecraft for me is that I don't really have anyone to play it with, my time online has been spent building shit underground because everything above it is trolled beyond recognition. Also Slimes, Y U NO GIEF SLIME BALLS. Seriously, I have like one fucking sticky piston.

They kinda fixed that, I tend to find slimes more often and in more random places. Drops slime balls more often I think.

Finding a server with good grief protecting mods and active moderators can be difficult, but if you want to try one ours is always open: 184.164.150.218:25574

I'll check it out, it says server is outdated at the moment. The servers I find myself on are either too small and lonely, or too big and lonely.
