But make no mistake, its hardcore. In Heartgold/Soulsilver, you will leave the Battle Tower as a broken person in tears.

And don't get me started on fucking Miltank.
You mean the Battle Frontier? Dude, my level 59 Tyranitar kills EVERYTHING in there, along with my level 61 Gallade. It's freaking easy mode. And for some reason, Miltank felt easy for the first time ever. I destroyed him with my Quilava.
Then I guess your either really really awesome, or really, really lucky. Since the better you do in Battle Tower, the more the game starts cheating(this is actually true). The enemy keeps hitting critical after critical, all your attacks start to miss(save for swift and faint attack), and any attack that poison/confuses/paralyzes/ect. you always inflicts the status disorder. Its ridiculous.

And Miltank crushed me. I had to grind everyone in my party to lvl 20, even getting a Gyrados. Only then was I able to beat her.
I know the game gets even cheaper and cheaper, but I got to battle 53 in the one where you choose your opponent on your own with my Tyranitar, without ever losing over half my health once. Maybe the solution would be for you to get a Tyranitar of your own, with my exact moveset?
Perhaps. Thats probably why your doing so great, because I remember on my Crystal version my Tyrannatar was a tank.

The games are amazingly addictive fun.

The anime sucks a massive dong compared nowadays, compared to what I viewed as a child at least. And I grown out of the whole "cards" phase a long time ago.

I really like Pokemon. It's my favorite series of all time, and I will continue to play it until the games continue to be made.

Then I will just battle competitively. And I will continue doing that until the servers are shut down.

Games are fun, anime I couldn't care less about, manga is enjoyable enough to keep reading, everything else I don't give a fuck.

They suck, I hate them all and will always despise these crappy games. Not even as a child did I like them, some of the most boring games I have ever had the misfortune of playing. Once you play one you've played them all, and I just stopped trying to find what was so great about them after Yellow or something.

It's the same boring and repetitive game play over and over again without any real significant change to the formula to even make it feel remotely different. The most boring turn based combat I've seen, and I don't buy into any of that bullshit talking about how it's deep, I've seen kiddy pools with more depth than pokemon. Oh and story? what story? I have no reason to play an "RPG" if there is no god damn story with it. If I wanna catch monsters in an RPG and enjoy a story as well I'll play an Shin Megami Tensei game.

I baffles me how this boring and derivative piece of crap game has continued for so long, but I guess a lot of us were conditioned to like it since we were kids and have refused to let go. Well...that's just how I see it, only played them to see what all the kids were on about and I was a very disgruntled kid after playing through them and just being bored out of my mind.

I'm sorry if I sound like a douche or whatever, feel free to enjoy these games if you want, but I've had my time with them and they just flat out sucked. And I will continue to suffer border line aneurysm every time someone utters the phrase "I hate turn based combat unless it's pokemon". Yea...go die in a fire.

I played every pkmn game except SS and I say: Black and White are pure C-R-A-P !

It's crap just because of new pokemons, I mean how stupid Gamefreak developers need to be to create that retarded creatures (no I won't call them pokemons and I won't accept them as pokemons). That's my opinion and I believe everyone with little taste hates new pokemons they showed to us...

Before we had nice pokemons, really cool pkmn's and now the gave us humanoid retarded monsters...
Because Voltorb, Jynx and fucking Mr. Mime are paragons of originality, right?
Don't forget jigglypuff, gastly, diglett, and geodude the most fucking original things human mind can come up with.

I love the series. There is only one thing that annoys me people complaining how the first ones are so original and great and all the new games suck. Nostalgic bastards.

The games are pretty great, the show and cards are meh.

And first gen pokemon will ALWAYS be the best. Particularly Hitmonlee and Scyther.

I've liked the series, but I does seem kind of...drawn out. Make no mistake, I'm looking forward black and white, even though I don't see what else they could do (With the legendaries especially. I mean they introduced the pokemon god for crying out loud). The biggest sign that franchise could be faltering is this whole "Reboot" thing.

I mean what's next? CrimsonRuby and AzureSapphire? MindPearl and BodyDiamond?

Love the games I've played. Although teh world they live in makes no sense at all and is filled with plotholes, but taht's just nitpicking.

Having started the series with Blue, I was quickly overwhelmed with hundreds of new pokemon that I did really care to much about since I had spent about 40 hours in Blue, and another 40 in Yellow, getting to know the ~151. As for the anime, the first season was alright when I was 12, but I outgrew it, good thing too because,, as I understand it, everything after the first series (first ~90 episodes) is just a rehash what came before it. That said, I like the the idea of a new pokemon game with entirely new pokemon, feels more like a re-imagining than a sequel. Sadly, I won't be getting it because I don't own a DS and never will.

Loved the games (I've played at least one game in every generation plus the remakes so I know), the anime was okay at first, but now is horrible, and I never really got into the card game. Some of the spinoff games are fun though. Looking forward to black and white.

Perhaps. Thats probably why your doing so great, because I remember on my Crystal version my Tyrannatar was a tank.
Mine's a damage dealer, instead. With a highly offensive moveset. Thrash, Crunch, Stone Edge and Earthquake. Nothing survives fighting me and my Tyranitar.

I thought he'd be a tank, but his def and sp. def are kinda low actually. Maybe it's because I don't IV train, ever, or something else.
I pumped mine full of defence buffs. So that might have been it. Plus it was level sixty, so it had a load of HP
