Thoughts on the Channel 52 section in DC New 52

It just seems like a waste of panels that they could easily use to make a story longer or put some sort of related short story in, anything really but that. It's a good idea to let people know what is going on in different books, but something about just does not draw my attention at all.

It's a good idea to let people know what is going on in different books,

Especially when that's a useful form of advertising for those other books. But yeah, I imagine lots of people ignore it like they would something that was purely an ad.

Kinda redundant. Most shops in my area don't order a lot except for hold lists, so they become ads for "something you should have ordered but now have to wait for the trade. The official solicitations found online do the the same marketing in time for me to get a copy.

It's not strictly necessary, but I've actually found it pretty amusing and immersive. Helps you put it all into context, which is something sorely lacking when comics have cross-issue intricacies and complications and guff. Comics are the most susceptible kind of media to guff.


I also find it amusing to see Calendar Man getting a role, with his Dark Victory head tattoos and everything.
